War Eagle !

It's great to pull for your team, but to down the other team or supporters of the other team shows a lack of something.

Hoping another team loses is not putting them down, thats just a fun jab. No disrespect there.

Thumbs down Re: War Eagle

This is based solely on somebody's opinion and individual experiences.. Blah Blah. I have hosted and been very hospitable to many different fans of different teams over the years. Some people just don't understand what Sportmanship is about. We are there for a football game and to have a good time.

I have told numerous people of the experiences I had at AU... they are almost as bad as Gainesville.(Guess what...that was my OPINION) You guys are very rude and are ready to fight on the first word of smack talking. I witnessed your 'hospitable' fans pushing and playing with a drunken LSU frat boy (in a big circle) half of their size the last game I visited because he was playfully mocking an injured war eagle (which he referred to as a pigeon)

Quote:
They shook hands. They thanked you for visiting.

And some even apologized just in case someone else was mean to you.
Who the **** does that? TIGER BAIT!

Quote:
Jordan-Hare Stadium was an incredible experience due to a raucous crowd, a fantastic gameday environment and a gorgeous eagle that swooped over the stadium and sat on the sideline.
The stadium is nice and Yes, the Eagle flying is deffinetely something to see.

Quote:
The crowd chanted the entire game, but there were no rude catcalls toward USC or untoward motions to the fans, at least from our vantage points.

This small town was the best of the best. Before the game, friends told us all the campus was like Clemson. Not true. This place was pristine with class. It had character. And the people had character. They even recycled.
Sounds like a pretty boring game to me.... Auburn is clean and nice though.

How the heck do they assume they recylced? Every university recycles at the games. Picking up aluminum cans and trying to keep those seperated. We even have recyling bins around campus at LSU...I bet all of them do.

Quote:
Contrast that with nine days ago during the USC-Furman game. Our students screamed obscenities at a measly out-of-conference opponent. There were boos when the other team took the field. We were rude to Furman. Yes - Furman.[/]

And that's not even considering Georgia. We all saw horrible exchanges during that game, from our students cursing out older fans to belligerent drunks throwing up in the student section to security guards escorting our students out by the multitudes.
Who cares if you were talking smack to Furman or UGA... its FOOTBALL

Quote:
Sure, other schools are rude. LSU and Georgia are among the worst. But as some of us have noticed, we're getting a reputation for being among the worst, too. Do we want that? Football is fierce and intense. But we believe our student body should desire to be above the fray - above the substandard, juvenile conduct of others. What does that say about us? Are we holding to our ideals?
I'm sorry but after reading this I can no longer bear the thought of wasting my time looking at this. I am sorry Mrs. Yankee that we football fans whom cheer for our teams are considered substandard and juvenile. Please, please keep your french medi/pedi and perm in great shape and away from the vomit.

Quote:
This is not to say we should care less. Let's care more. But let's show some class, some respect and some South Carolina hospitality. Let's not scream obscenities or racial slurs at the other team.
Dang, sounds like you guys in USC have issue not everyone else... I haven't seen too many racial slurs in our stadium and we are home to the KKK here in Louisiana

Yes, thank you Auburn... for losing again to LSU in 2010.

Hell yes!
It's football dammit if one wants to get drunk before the game one has that right! If one doesn't they have that right too. You have the right to do anything within the rules. You can trash talk, boo, whatever it's a game.
