Best platform for racing ever... Even the chevy guys know to put their motors in a fox because it will be faster.

That is all.

Sounds like a plan. Hopefully I'll have some new control arms, a tune, and some different wheels(with correct backspacing) by then.

I'm actually going to sell the kit and get started on a 351 build up. That is unless we get the altima up and running and we have a back up car.

A F-body will lauch a hell of a lot better and striaghter than a Mustang built on a Fox platform, but I think they suck at everything else.

I don't think so. It's much easier to launch 3100 lbs than 3500.

Yeah, but not compared to anything 96 and up... once they got rid of the 5.0L, they put on the pounds. Not that I dont like fox body's, but Ill take that little bit of added weight for 5 lug axles, 4 wheel disc brakes, and a more rigid frame. Thats just me though.

You sure do like that disgust smilie don't you. In that case Civics and stuff of that naughter must be much better cars as they weigh around 2200 lbs or so. It is much easier to launch a car that you don't have to worry about get sideway on you when you are trying to go straight. Have you ever driven a 05 Mustang, they are very easy to launch and don't waste time spinning and having the rearend slidding this way and that way. F-Bodies lauch more like an 05 Mustang than one based on a Fox platform. I know you can mod a Foxbody to launch really straight but that would compromise its handling among other things.

I have to go help my dad cut off some Bull ball now so I have to go. I feel like a ****ing redneck.

Re: Foxbodies> *

I will say the 06 I drove would launch very straight but so would the 03 as well. The 91 Fox my friend had would out launch them both but he had some work done to help him out with that area but as far as handeling,my biggie, I think the other plat forms may have them beat stock.

Umm.. Actually it wouldn't decrease the handling capabilities Mr. Know it all. And since when did owning a fox make you a redneck. Sounds more to me that you are turning into an elitist ever since you bought a car with some power. You want to talk about launching? Let's discuss the 03 cobra's wonderful IRS setup that is based on a 4 link. Now there is a good setup.

Are you blind or can you just not read. I said best PLATFORM. The stock foxes are junk, drum brakes, A9L computer and all. If you think I'm comparing a stock fox to a stock 05, or termy, you need a mental evaluation. That's like comparing the original GT500 to the new one, there isn't one. All I was saying is that they are a better platform to start from, especially when starting from scratch.

Exactly Fox's are far better to start from but I was giving my honest impression that which may differ from yours.
