Politics question for Brent (anyone can answer too)

So i went back to school and my politics class is kickin my ***. and when i try to find info online one site is always contradicting the other. 1st question i have is what are the dems and reps saying bout eachother right now? I know reps think the dems are spending too much money, but that is the extent of my knowledge.

I will bring these in a non partisan view point so don't challenge me on these responses:

1. Republicans-About DEM's To much out of control spending. Republicans are accusing the Democrats as being Socialists. Health Care- you should see a good argument on that. Bush tax cuts allowed to expire- Republicans favor, but are upset at Democrats because no vote was taken to extend or not extend them.

2. Democrats about Republicans-- Republicans are out of touch with today's society. They are not helping the economy. Republicans want to take away from the poor by allowing the Bush tax cuts to stay in place. Accusing Republicans of being too Strict on immigration.

These are some off the top of my head. The best way to find info is read about 2-3 different sources, watch the news, and listen to talk radio.(Not just sports talk radio) Just vary your mediums and if something you hear really interests you read up on it. In general politics are slow right now since it is campaign season. However, there is some good campaigning going on out there. (I'm a media/ news junkie and journalist student with a focus on Business and marketing)

I am just tired of hearing all the mudd slinging going on. I have a economics class that just blows my mind away with all the politics that are evolved in it......

Yeah, both sides are too busy blaming the other side instead of just thinking things through and doing what makes sense. Each side toes the party line and votes whichever way lines their pockets with the most money or the greatest chance of re-election.
