Re: Guitar Hero 3 confirmed songs

I just hope they keep the ****ty metal style songs (such as freya) out of it. They need more original recordings too... not that crap they do where they try to sound like the guys.

Free bird would have been 300x better if it was actually skynyrd singing/playing it.

yeah but if the band or record company says no, not much they can do but use a cover band.

i hope they have at least one more Rush song, and either Bullet for my Valentine or the like.

i *might* have to get a 360 now, Halo3 coming up and GH3..............

Re: Guitar Hero 3 confirmed songs

yeah they play all those out on our classic rock station. especially two-fer tuesdays, its always Back in Black and TNT or Shoot to Thrill. I rarely hear Hells Bells. they also play out the "Shes got the Jack" and the balls one (i forget their names right now).

though im glad the GH franchise has found a way to pump out games quickly, might get to the point we see one or two games a year so its all up-to-date music.

Definitely. If I could request any song, that would be the one.

Considering Boston's More Than a Feeling was already in the first one, I don't have much else to request lol

Oh but of course Dragon Force - Fire and the Flames would be really ****ing fun to play :O

Re: Guitar Hero 3 confirmed songs

I hope it comes out on the PS2 still. I dont really want to buy a next gen console just to play GH3. That and I dont care for the 360 guitars. Buttons feel wierd compared to the PS2s. Smaller i guess.

i think it would be stupid for sony NOT to make it for PS2. how many million PS2s are there? how many PS3s? besides... there is no reason for it to be on PS3... its basically just scrolling circles on a 3 dimensional rectangle. i bet the game could fit on a cd.

and if they did release it exclusively on PS3... i bet a lot of PS2 guitar hero fans would just buy a 360, a few games, and a few extra guitars for the same price.

You sir are thinking with your metal side of the brain!

I could not agree more. I was disappointed that there was no Boston in the second, closest was Kansas.

They need alot more GOOD metal. Songs like Six, Light That Blinds, A Call for Blood, and Arterial Black are the best in the game, and theyre basically all bonus songs. I am a bit biased but they need about 80% REAL metal which does include older Metallica, and 20% classic rock like Boston and Skynard. Some CCR would be nice too.

Dragonforce would be the ownage though.

Collide was one of the best bonus songs on GH2 IMO.

Re: Guitar Hero 3 confirmed songs

i think my favorite GH songs were on the first one...

the bags - cavemen rejoice
black label society - fire it up

i actually prefer the first over the second.

I just can't wait until some of you guys beat this one on hard. It's going to be so awesome.

On a side note, I actually tried to play this game the other day (my sister brought it out here when she came to visit), and I absolutely could not play it. I was trying to play Heart Shaped Box and kept trying to make the actual cord shapes instead of what the damn game was telling me to do.

I've often wondered if it would be harder for someone to play it if they had already been able to play a real guitar.

I was told by this guy who plays in a heavy metal band that it's actually harder to play it on Guitar Hero than it is to play it in real life. His own words, "You know that song Cowboys from hell? It's so much easier to play it in real life than on guitar hero"

Yeah some more metal would be awesome, but I prefered playing the Allman Brothers, Kansas, Boston, Skynard, Guns N Roses, etc over the new rock and metal songs. They are just more of jam songs and more enjoyable to play IMO. I would much rather see more of that then anything, now dont get me wrong, I would love some Trivium, Bullet For My Valentine, As I Lay Dying, more All that Remains, Shadows Fall, Killswitch Engage, etc in there, but prefer playing the older songs.

I dont play the 1st one much anymore, lot of good songs, but typically I am always playing with another person when I play. I have 2 guitars buddy has 2. The multiplayer in 2 is just so much better. I do want to do that mod for the PS2 to turn it into a flip top, or just buy the slim PS2 and get the disc required to make the hacker editions of GH2.

Anyone else playing expert yet? I just really started playing expert a few weeks ago. Typically just played hard all the time.

As ironic as it sounds, I'm in the process of learning to "play" (if you want to call it that ) guitar, and GH is actually way easier to play. But I would say that's because my fingers are more used to pressing buttons than pressing string combinations.

refer to my post earlier. a man couldnt play his own song on easy.

its COMPLETELY different. both are definitely hard. its comparing apples to oranges. i think those who play guitar, bass, drums or any instrument have an advantage at learning the game though... mostly because of rhythm and whatnot... but other than that guitar =/= guitar hero.
