Re: My favorite ricer:

Umm...so is there an actual limit to what engine can fit in a darn RX-7? I mean, do they make an engine big enough that it wont fit in one? lol

Re: My favorite ricer:

I'd like to do the 5.0 in the miata swap... is there a 5.0 into an rx-7 swap?

I've never seen one. That would be retarded, though. The LS series motors make more power and weigh less.

Yes in Grass Roots Motorsports there was a RX-7 with a 5.0 but if I got an RX it would stay rotory powered. Also My fav import is a S13 gone JDM forget addding V8's it kinda kills the who light weight thing for me.

Re: My favorite ricer:

The rotaries in the RX-7s are awfully heavy for little engines, so swapping LS motors doesn't add much weight at all.

/\ Damn straight The only way to make an FD fast :yup:

And as far as the size of the motor that will fit in there, you have to realize that the LS series motors aren't really that big. Actually they are smaller than modular in actual dimensions, even though the LS actually displaces more. Think about this way, the Ford 429 CI BB or any of the BB's for that matter(from the factory) is about the same size as a 4.6 modular.

because what makes a Evo a Evo is its AWD. if you could make a LS1 work with the evo's or a similar AWD system in a Lancer chassis that would be awesome. but imo taking an excellent awd platform and making it a camaro but uglier (i dont like the evo9 or under) is just backwards.

Re: My favorite ricer:

you wont ever catch me reading a honduh tech thread. as much as reading a SRTForums thread hurts, a honduhtech thread will indeed bring my IQ down a few points, and i need to keep them as much as possible.

but if it stays AWD then yeah, that will be pretty sweet. theyre gonna have to definately beef it up though.
