Project Make Brent's Car Run

Well this weekend the **** is about to start finally. Wednesday we are taking the Engine Hoist and Transmission jack to my Dad's work. Friday we are taking the car down to the shop and then early Saturday we are pulling the old engine out.

After the old engine is out we are taking the new shortblock, all the new parts (heads, cam, intakes, etc etc) along with the old engine to a local performance shop, Huntsville Performance. They will then proceed to build the new engine. After they build the new engine we go pick it up and put it back into the car.

Once the car is running properly it will be then be repainted. I got a badass paint scheme that I'm not telling anyone about until it's done.

So yea, it's finally going to be done. It's going to look badass too once it's all said and done.

I am debating on selling my eibachs and picking up some c-springs while this is all going on as well.

Yea I got the Hello Kitty exhaust tip in just now too (that's why this whole thing has taken so long. Those things have been on backorder forever )

Re: Project Make Brent's Car Run

werd, i tried getting one for the gsx but they only come in 2 and 2.5" inlets.

btw i have once pondered actually doing this, and finding a riced out civic with a fart can, getting a sawzall and portable welder, taking his muffler off and replacing it with the HK muffler and taping the hilarity that would ensue.

Yeah, 2.5" definitely isn't big enough for a ricer-ride.

Don't let him fool you with his talk about "bad-*** paint scheme". All we're really going to do is pound back beers for a few hours and then rattle-can it in the garage.

Re: Project Make Brent's Car Run

Oh snap! If I didn't have to work I would come help. It's about time this got done. I will have to request off though so I can come help with the paint. See, I have these great HK stencils and I still have some of the pink and white paint left over from doing my apartment. I could totally hook you up.

This hookup...is it reputible and what kind of cost we looking at? I'm not afraid to travel to someone I can trust...

Talking tear car down into pieces, strip bare, paint, wet sand...the works here...is your source down for that?
