well, it happened... *wrecked stang warning*

last friday, my car got hit in the work parking lot. the guy parked next to me forgot to pull forward when he pulled out of his space, and turned into my car

i just talked to the insurance, they're offering me $6,252.50 as settlement, with a salvage cost of $900... so if i take settlement and retain salvage rights, insurance will pay me $5300. with that in hand, i owe $2300 against the car, which will leave $3000 in my pocket... Then, with salvage rights, i can part the car out, and sell what's left for that same $900...

so, without further ado, here are pics

you are correct... it makes me happy in my pants.

and yeah, they're hard as **** to find. I got mine off autotrader.com... and had to drive ~1000 miles for it (one way). When I'm ready for the Cobra, it's going to be murder to find one.

i'm currently in negotiations for a VERY sexy black 03 mach 1. only thing i don't like about it is that it's an auto. but that's an easy, though expensive, fix...

if i'm very lucky, i may have it by next thursday. but knowing my luck, it'll prob be the next week

the seats are black cloth, it was a base model v6. there is a 2 inch long rip in the driver's side seat, it was like that when i got it

pm me about the rear end, but if i don't hear from you by next thurs, i'm gonna sell the whole car to delk, sans the exhaust and rims

fishers: i'm about 30 miles south of nashville

what a horrible decision. methinks after said purchase of "good mileage" vehicle youll regret it and end up getting a fox..........an all too familiar story....

No one makes you mod the car. I'd be happy with a stock Mach 1. I wouldn't be happy with a grocery getter. Just me though. I'm never going to buy something I'd hate unless there was no other option.

exactly. get a Mach1 and leave it be.

get a azure blue with some nice chrome fr500's and doneski. maybe a mgw shifter and a catback to spicen things up a bit. and prolly some gears. ****. there went $2500. maybe you should stay away from teh mach1 after all. or maybe its just me, i dont like to leave anything stock, hell, i modified my guitar hero guitar (made a button by the fret for star power instead of the throw action or select). having something someone else likely has the exact same thing makes me mad.

Mach 1's are no joke. People like to underestimate them.

Look what this lightly modded Mach 1 did to an equally if not more modded 01 SS.

the cost of having and maintaining a mach 1 will break my bank. i will probably get another stang in the future though

Re: well, it happened... *wrecked stang warning*

whats there to maintain really?

everything else there is to maintain on any other vehicle. and if youre a hard driver, the mach is more likely to hold up to your habits than a econobox or the like will. like i always say, drive a civic like you drive a mustang, and you can throw honduh reliability out the door.

o hell, if you know how to watch ur money u will be fine. I have my mustang, and I bought my explorer for a dd. My good paying job closed its doors jan 1, i didnt pass my exam to be a cop due to a crack in my knee so i am working for $7hr 30hrs-40 hrs a week at a camera store and going to school right now. If you want the car then get the car and make it work... u will never have the money to "save up" for the car cause u will spend it on other things. just my .02 tho
