Immigration Deal Dead, Mexico Rejoices

More free **** for all the Mexicans walking into our country I guess. There more than likely won't be any kind of reform until this Administration leaves office and the Senate/House sees another shake up

Senate immigration bill suffers crushing defeat - CNN.com

Good...because the current plan sucked and had a ton of holes in it.

Yes but they act like all they have is one shot. It's ridiculous. Our government is such a waste.

its a shame because i bet a lot of politicians are actually good people with great intentions.. but it gets spoiled by the whole "politics" thing and the whole "other people with opinions" thing.

that came out bad. let me use an analogy. you take 10 geniuses and 10 idiots and you tell them to design an awesome telephone. i bet that phone sucks *** because 1. the whole group setting screws things up and 2. the geniuses arent allowed to do their own thing and have to come to a compromise with everyone.

another great example of this is microsoft. i guarantee there is a ****load of amazing coders and engineers... but they get ****ed up by the whole corporate structure.

It is because the people that we elected are worried more about getting re-elected rather than worried about doing the right thing.

Wait as minute....????!!!!

Is this not the bill that would have granted American citizenship to almost 20,000 ILLEGAL immigrants??

While the bill did have things that need to be implemented, there were plenty of things that would ahve been even more harmful. Even if that was the only thing wrong with the bill, it would have been enough for me if I was a senator to vote against it.

i think it was going to grant citizenship the already 20million illegals living in america. grant them citizenship and make em pay taxes sounds good to me. leaving them out of the loop puts the strain on the system more than if we just took them all at once.

there was a debate not too long ago on Fox News, that made me almost wonder if i was really watching Fox News. 1 person was against illegal immigration while 5 others were for it. FOR IT!? they said its the american way to allow immigrants into the country be it legal or not. it ended abruptly because it came to blows, the one girl against it lives in Arizona so she knew what its like to live in the south that close to the border (where english is 10% of the language spoken), whereas all the others were all on the east coast. she was like "you people just wait till your cities and towns are overrun by non-english speaking illegals who leech off the system". it was so richeous a remark i almost cried right there, i mean it amazed me to know there are still people with common sense in this country, other than those on ME.com who share the same views as I.

IMO if something doesnt change i fear for my children growing up in a 3rd world country that is a former shell of america.

That bill was horrible, a fast track to amnesty and citizenship for a bunch of illegals.

Sorry, but the illegal alien crowd is a net drain on our society, they collect more in government benefits then they pay in taxes by far. granting them citizenship would have only given the government more reason to bribe them for votes with more bloated social programs.

I've got an idea, how about we actually enforce the law. We need to lock down the border, punish companies who hire illegals, and send back whoever we find.

This bill was the republican extinction act. A way for the democrat party to gain a whole lot of voters. I don't know why in the world any republican would be for that waste of paper.

Could not agree more !!! Seems protecting our borders is about as successful as the war on drugs
