Anybody ever try "Fire Station 5" Beer?

I enjoy drinking the "smaller" beer companies (Terrapin, Sweetwater, Blue Moon, Sierra Nevada, etc), so tonight I try this stuff called "Fire Station 5". I get a six pack of unfiltered wheat and a six pack of amber. I try the wheat first. Tastes like absolute crap, so I try the amber. A little better, but still gross. So now I have 10 gross beers in my fridge. I guess one night I am just gonna have to get ****ty off some good stuff, then work on this crap. I am pissed, this junk is just as expensive as Terrapin and Sweetwater.

Edit: Just spilled one; the dog won't even drink it.

make boilermakers out of them, take half a beer and just add whiskey....down said beer

trust me it'll make it taste better, just use decent whiskey

lol

I haven't even heard of it. I have had one beer that I absolutely couldn't drink and that is Old Town Amber. It takes like an Arby's Jamocha shake with alcohol.

Other than that I can drink a lot of beers without a problem.

Old Towne is our local beer, as brent said, the Amber was nasty, but the other stuff is pretty good, I like the Pale Ale myself.

love blue moon and sierra nevada.

if you get a chance i recommend the Longshot 6-pack from Sam Adams. 3 flavors (2 of each), theres a blueberry one, a dark hoppy beer (tasted like pickles, which is cool cause i like pickles) and an ale if i recall. all were very good IMO.

I actually like the Olde Town Amber. :dunno: . There are very few beers that I don't really like.

Try something from The Brooklyn Brewery if you can get your hands on it.

Re: Anybody ever try "Fire Station 5" Beer?

Unfortunately we in Bama have a very limited choice in beer as our archaic beer laws are ridiculous, tho it seems they are changing soon (i hope)

I'm a S.N. pale ale fan. Leinenkugel is a good beer for you northerners to get your hands on. I think it is a Wisconsin brewed beer.

If you get the chance, try some of our local brewery's finest. Its called Lionshead, its a pilsner, and its delicous.
