Major changes in my life

Well about 2 weeks ago my fiancee of 3 years told me she need a break and some time to herself. Now I know most people would think its because she wants to see other people, but that is not the case. She never really got a chance to live on her own and take care of herself. We are still friends and we may get back together down the line. However it didn't exactly happen at the best time. I'm about to get my GED something i've put off for far to long. I should be taking the test in a couple of weeks. Once that is done i'm going to get a better day job and work part time at domino's and work on getting rid of most of my debt since im back at my parents my bills have gone down. I'm also going to be looking at getting rid of the truck for something cheaper. I've been getting an itch for another mustang and have been pricing them used with around 50k miles I can get an 01-04 gt for around 9-15k in good shape. So that is probably what i'll be aiming for. It will still be atleast another 6 months before I'm in the market for one, but it will give me plenty of time to save a good down payment.

Edit: Just to note i'm not in major debt or anything. My bills are only 750 a month and most of that is my truck payment.

Girls are abosolutely nuts. Try to keep your head and use this time to better yourself. Get ur GED and even consider enrolling in a local college and take a few courses.

x2

if you think its hard to get a good job nowadays... think how hard it will be in 10-20 years... maybe even further into the future. any economist will tell you that the gap between lower and upper class is broadening with a dissappearing middle class. do it while you still can... or become a gold digger/trophy husband/stay at home dad

I'm sorry to hear that dude, but good luck with gettin yourself straitened out. I am starting to get into that same mode, getting back into school and all that. It is definitely tough. Good luck! Hang in there. We need to hang out sometime too.

Re: Major changes in my life

One thing that is cool about the place im taking my classes to get my GED. Once you get it you get one free class as a kick start. I do plan on going to school, but I need to take care of some stuff before I do that. It's one of the main reasons i'm going to work on getting rid of as much debt as I can so I dont have to work fulltime and goto school fulltime.

Hey Nate i've got nothing going on tuesday night after 7:30 give me a call.

thats great. i hope you take advantage of that opportunity. just make sure you do go back and dont procrastinate. as my mom always tells me... the longer you wait to go back to school, the less likely its gonna happen. my mom is now in her 40s and still hasnt finished college.. she got 2 years under her belt way back in the day and just never went back lol.

Debt or no debt. Or just paying bills off????

Either way, that's good and bad at the same time. You can concentrate on more important things in life, but at the same time you are in a way losing someone that's very close to you.

Hope everything works out.

Re: Major changes in my life

Way to go in getting that GED! There's lots of openings in the electric utility business (where I work) and a GED, and better yet a 2 year tech. degree, will make you an excellent, secure, living.

You sound like a smart guy and you'll come through this a winner.
Good luck,
Jim

Paying bills off I guess would be better. I'm not in serious debt or anything. I still have her as my bestfriend, but its hard because I want so much more then that. All I can do is just hope it works out for the best.

My girlfriend of about four years and I called it quits not too long ago. It hasn't been a whole lot of fun. Just hang in there, you'll survive.

how old are you?

i know most my buddies who have always had steady 2-3 year relationships since they were into girls are now in that "single and loving it" phase. were all around 23ish. i havent had a real gf since HS, unless you count cars, then while they all go through many girlfriends since HS but have had the same car since HS, ive gone through cars since HS and no girlfriends since.

however i like being single. at first it was depressing, now i see drama unfold around me and i just ****ing laugh.
