Question & answer

I hope I don't stand off as a D-bag by making too many threads or asking stupid questions. As of right now im strapped for cash but im dying to do something to my car. My cheaper mod list is

Fog lights
Headlights
Flowmasters w/ h pipe
Or anything cheap you can think of

So, my reason for this thread, is to see what all you think I should do first or in sequence. Id love to get a turbo but that's probably WAAAYY out of my range.

Re: Question & answer

lowering the car can be cheap (springs, cc plates, and an alignment mainly) so consider that.

only do OEM fog lights, not cheap autozone ones that dont fit and look bad.

I was going to go with these http://www.americanmuscle.com/clfogliset9m1.html.
I will have to find the wiring to run to it. I'm gonna set it up so when I turn my lights on those will come on also. Will oem offer any advantage over those besides a switch I don't need ( I believe )?
And what do you mean lowering with the springs? Cutting the stock ones and getting a regular alignment?

Re: Question & answer

First :Intake > exhaust >>> I always start in the front and work my way back in the direction of airflow . Power first appearance later .

Re: Question & answer

you dont need a switch for the fog lights, but you will need a relay and a fuse. The fuse needs to be 18 inches or closer to the battery they say.

You can pop out the drivers side headlight and use a power wire tester to find the parking light hot wire and use that to trigger the relay to turn on. The wires will be very minimal.

My electrical buddy said the same thing to me as you have. Testing the wire for current to splice from should be simple enough. If I have a good fuse that I have my amp running off of, do I need a second fuse for the fog lights.

Re: Question & answer

what I would do is fine the power wire on the drivers side headlight, splice into that wire. Run that wire to a relay to the on position on the relay. Run a wire from the battery to a fuse then from a fuse to the relay power. Then ground the relay. Finally run a wire from the out of the relay to the fog lights. Then ground the fog lights. That should do it. You can stick a cheap little switch somewhere around the battery if you wanted to ever turn them off... but i never did.

Thanks alot Spector for the detailed walk through. I knew how to do it but not the best way at it. I should have no problems getting them in. Once again you have the answers.
