Re: Paintball?

I play. I have a WGP Autococker Trilogy. Nothing special. Cocking rod (go ahead and giggle) snapped though so I am now in the process of replacing the ram and arm. I have the parts unfortunately but the arm was a different size so I need to modify that. Also picked up a Tippmann 98 and a some pump actions of ebay. Those pump actions I'm hoping to disassemble and make something unique and nice.

I've been meeting to go but I'm poor.

Re: Paintball?

I rock a WGP '04 Pro-Stock cocker. I've been really happy with it. The only problem I've had with it, in almost four years, was when it had a hole torn in one of the tubes that came off the three-way. That really messed with stuff. Other than that, though, it's been awesome.

Re: Paintball?

W00t! The field I go to just opened up a new section on their outdoor grounds. It's these two castles and bridges and it's nuts. I'm hoping to get there sometime this weekend or next week. 7 Outdoor fields and games will be going on each one simultaneously (reff permitting.

Just fixed by 'Cocker tonight. I had to make some new threads and tomorrow I will give it a few dry fires to make sure it cycles properly. I am very excited to get out there.

Hell I'd love it if it wasn't for everyone all over. You are all welcomed to come the day I go, I'll post a date if people would like. I've already invited half my job. I always think the more the merrier when I go.

Still super excited 'bout going next week.

Re: Paintball?

I'm not flying all the way over there just to kick your asses in paintball

lol I'm kidding, I haven't played in a long time. I am good at predicting people's movements, I'd make a pretty good coach, but playing it doesn't interest me anymore. Mostly because of my eye sight. Every time I play, my glasses fog up and I'm ****ed sitting there until it goes away.

Nothing has improved my game like contacts. I never could get the whole glasses under the mask thing to work, so I'd just go without. I didn't realize how much I was missing playing without maximum vision.

Re: Paintball?

My bro bought an older black magic (i believe it was) off a friend of his, a few upgrades and a bunch of other parts to customize. That was a few years ago and he played for a few months on a team and had to stop. Now he wants to get back into it but being recently married, starting a new career and all he's a bit hesitant to go. His gun needs a major tune up too and he's talking about a $400 trigger for it.

I'm not familiar with a lot of guns but if I wanted my marker to do the job I'm going with WGP. I <3 'em. Angels, DM6s are all nice but I'm not too much a fan of electronic markers. I enjoy that mine has some of the most best and accurate shots and the internals are all pneumatic, re-cocking and firing and all. I may not have full auto but squeeze the trigger a few times in a sec I believe is just as good.

My goggles always fog (and visibility seems a bit limited too), Picked up some DYE Thermals on eBay and the view looks good can't wait to try 'em. As for contacts, best thing you can have. I don't mind wearing glasses at all but, even in daily life, I think contacts are so much nicer I feel I get a better view of everything.

buy some anti-fog spray. I think I bought mine from PMI and it works great. I use it on all my rifle scopes, sun glasses and anyhing you dont want to fog up.

Re: Paintball?

I bought a Trilogy starter pack for cheap and that's what I use and will until it's decrepit. Autocockers aren't that expensive compared to half of what's out there. I can buy my marker use it stock and as the years pass and I fall into money I can slowly interchange parts. Smoother ram, a regulator, adjustable LPR, lighter internals. As for Anti-Fog spray I find that i have to respray it more than I should. Of course these are regular goggles and there is no sure way to keep them from fogging. But PMI you say? I will def. pick some up and try it. I heard 32 degrees makes a spray that works well not sure of it though.

Sorry I just love thinking about it. lol. I'll probably be good for a while when finally get to go.

Re: Paintball?

im pretty sure its pmi, ill check when i get home from work today. but make sure you dont spray anti-fog spray on anti-fog lenses, as it will screw with the coating and you'll have to get a new pair. its kinda like an oil, you have to spray it and kinda wipe it off but still leave a light coating on it. then repeat a couple times.

Re: Paintball?

weve been getting into airsoft over here. bunch of us found that the best way to get hella people involved, is to keep the cost at a minimum. we allow only 20$ to be spent per gun (which limits you to either 1911 pistols or pump shotgun at wal-mart) and however much ammo or any weight you want.

couple months ago we had a good 14 people playing CTF and team assault in one of our coworkers land, we got some coil cores for fortifications to use on a large field, and we had a dense grove to play team battles. we kept it honor system, if you get hit anywhere, be a man, suck it up and walk off the field.

were hoping as time progresses, we can keep interest and move up to either more expensive airsoft (electric or gas powered automatics) or just move up to paintball.

Re: Paintball?

You can get into paintball for pretty cheap. Tippmans are pretty inexpensive markers. If you don't use some wild electro paint hose marker, you can stretch a case of paint over a pretty good while. Limiting the ammo capacity of everyone you play with helps, too. Keeps you from going crazy on the trigger when you know you don't have tubes and tubes of paint strapped to your back.

werd. the cool thing with airsoft is with the 1911 pistols, theyre decently accurate but only hold a 13?ish round clip. if youre dual wieding you have 4 clips max on you, so thats 52 rounds. if you run out of ammo, youre free game, you cannot run to the truck and refill.

plus paintballs hurt, not everyone wants to get welts all over. airsoft is just like getting snapped by a rubber band on exposed skin, if its on any skin covered with clothes, its like someone flicking you with a finger.

we don't really worry about limiting it.. that just takes a little too much thought and time... and it turns some people off and as i said me and my friends are begging people to play... so beggers can't be choosers... and as for the "paintballs hurt"... not really for me... cause of all the adrenaline(sp) pumping i never really get hurt... but i can tell i got hit... airsoft just seams like you could how some ****** being like "you didn't hit me" when you know good and well you just pwned him but you don't have a mark to prove it

Re: Paintball?

we dont really care enough to be a ****** about it though. plus they are slow so you can see them coming and dodge them or as the shooter you pretty much know when you got a hit. plus sometimes they make a nice snap noise when they hit flesh.

Re: Paintball?

It's not that easy to dodge a ball flying at you at speeds of 300fps (paintball). I would also think geting shot with a bb would hurt more than a gelatin capsule. When I get hit sure it hurts and stings for the first two seconds but it isn't the most hurtful thing in the world, I've felt plenty worst.

Speaking of getting hit and hurting I got shot in the nipple from 6 feet away during a game and the ball never broke. Needless to say my tittay was purple for the next week.

Re: Paintball?

airsoft guns work at 300fps for the spring powered, depending on ammo weight, even faster (600fps) for gas powered. getting hit and pain has to do with mass, a paintball at 300fps has more mass upon impact than a plastic bb at 600fps, which is why a paintball hurts more. ive been shot with paintballs, ill take a plastic bb over a paintball any day of the week.
