Re: Speed bumps

That's all these little bastards do around this town is drive like idiots. This kid almost hit me in my '84 one day last summer, and then got beside me at a stoplight revving his engine to the point of almost blowing it up. He was in a damn Neon. So I jumped out of the car gettin ready to punch him in the mouth and he took off through the red light and about got plowed by a Dodge truck. Pure dumb a$$es, I'm tellin ya.

he must have pretty much **** his pants. its annoying when ppl try to get you to race by almost hitting you. just wait to pull up next to them and rev and wave, not smack into them with your car lol

Re: Speed bumps

Takes all I have not to just run them off the road sometimes. To them it's like I have a sign on the car saying,"Hey bud, I have a Mustang, wanna run em"
But anyways, back to speed bumps, I hate em!

I don't mind the wide ones as long as they are short, I think having to slow down lower than 20 to go over one is just overkill

Re: Speed bumps

people in GA like to make them tall but as far as the width goes short...not far enough away from the curb or the one on the other side to around...but shorter than the width of the car itself...saw a Chrysler 300 drive straight over it...the rear bumper was left sitting on the road along with half his exhaust!! HAHA

Re: Speed bumps

I just read 35 posts complaining or reference to speed bumps. I know I am old school but why in hell do you want to spend a fortune in suspension parts, labor costs, alignment problems, squeeks groans and all sorts of complainants about lowering your car? Is it just so you can hit every pot hole, bend your wheels, tear up your exhaust, crack your lower facia, or is it because that's what everyone else is doing. I'm not trying to piss any one off I just don't see the point of wasting all that money and time for nothing.

I am with you all about speed the reasoning is great but wish their applications could be better. They need to have more consideration for vehicles on the road. Now the ling but shirt speed bumps are ok and don't hassle my stang.

They don't care, it's all about slowing cars down so the ones we really hate are the ones that really work, yes they suck but they serve their purpose, if people wouldn't drive like jack a**es then there would be no need for them...

Could NOT have said it better myself. Whats the use in having a mustang if you're going to keep it stock...unless its old and restored that is.

Re: Speed bumps

they need speed bumps that only come up out of the ground if you are going faster than like 5mph, so if you are already going slow they stay down.

Mine is 99% stock, and it sits pretty low in that form without lowering it. Plus this is a forum, basically a place to voice opinions and complain about whatever we want to complain about right?
I should start a thread complaining about people complaining about us complaining!

I know right? But the one complaining about our complaints is also well within his right to complain about us complaining about anything.

Oh yeah! See...there's a place for EVERYONE on this forum!

And yes def higher taxes...I will say so far TX is the only place that seems to use tax money for road repairs...a lot of other places seem to just let the roads go to crap or slap a layer over old pavement that eventually sinks lol
