My Roush has the stage 2 suspension with the side exhaust...speed bumps = scrapped mufflers! They hang the lowest out of everything, might swap them to spintech low profiles to get an extra inch or clearance. I hate scrapping. Now I avoid speed bumps and have found née routes for places I go.

Re: Speed bumps

I dont mine NORMAL ones... but some are WAY to tall and they obviously have no consideration for lowered vehicles. I can BARLEY clear the ones at work.

ohh wow...I haven't done that yet...I'll keep that in mind and check once and awhile.

I have seen that you can get the Roush replacements on ebay for $140 a set, I've thought about having a set in the garage for if the ones that are on it get destroyed.

Are those the ones that exit by the doors. If so they look great but I have always wondered if they are loud in the car. I like my mustang at the stock ride height. These cars have a harsh enough ride

They are louder than the rear exit GT exhausts but I wouldn't say too loud. At 70 on the highway with 3.27 gears...they are quite. Not too bad at all.

I've gotten stuck on several sets. I just avoid anything to do with them now in the cobra.

Re: Speed bumps

I hate the ones at my grandmas soooo much, feels like your climbing over a curb and if I go more than 2 mph over one the gas tank on my fox will scrape....

Re: Speed bumps

I was visiting a buddy at his apartment one time, and there are some pretty nasty speedbumps in the parking lot there, saw this kid in his Honda smack it hard. We went to see what all the racket was about, and turns out he had ripped the nice shiny DC Sports header right off the engine!

It was actually pretty funny, he had his girl with him and she was laughing about it. He was driving like an a-hole and got what he deserved.

speed bumps should not be allowed to be more than 2 inches tall and one foot wide.
