Motorcycles - Red means Go

So it appears Red is the new Green in Kansas...if you ride a bike or motorcycle...The best part is, it's up to the rider to decide when they've waited long enough at a light...not the po po....

That was my first thought as well. Oh, it's been 5 seconds, the light will never change...Imma go now.

Or, some squid on a crotch rocket showing off for his buddies trying to beat an oncoming car.

The other component in the package would prohibit local jurisdictions from imposing extra fines on drivers for seat-belt violations. The bill kept the statewide fine at $5 -- that would eventually rise to $10 or $60 depending on the severity of the violation.

The language in the motorcycle bill also covered bicycle riders.
Notice the packaging? I hate that ****!

Also, when has a bicycle rider ever paid attention to red lights?

Shockingly, one did yesterday at lunch where you turn onto S. Harrel's Ferry off of sherwood. He was in front of me completely funking up my ability to turn the corner.

I'd have to disagree as a avid motorcyclist I can tell you 95% of light triggers don't work with motorcycles. I have literally sat for 10 minutes waiting for a car to pull up behind me to make a legal left turn. Of course there are going to be idiots that abuse it but for the most part motorcyclist are very safe it's that whole one bad apple spoils the bunch syndrome.

Re: Motorcycles - Red means Go

Yes as a motorcycle owner/rider I can understand the reasoning behind doing this, but there are definitely too many fools that will abuse the privilege and cause accidents.

Re: Motorcycles - Red means Go

Its already like that in a lot of states. I know GA, SC, and NC are like that...its bc they don't weigh enough to trigger the light...mainly at left turns. I do it but only when I have to...whether its legal or not. Ups and downs to timed lights and lights that have to be triggered by some means
