Import to American Muscle

Just recently got rid of my pain in the a$$ RX8. Probably the worst car I've ever owned. Just bought a 2010 Stang GT. Love it so much I can't stop driving it. Wish gas prices would come down so I can drive it more.

I'm sure this has been posted on the site 100 times. Can somebody recommend a good exhaust system that is not too loud inside. Looking to pay no more then $600.

Appreciate any help...

Re: Import to American Muscle

Welcome to the site! I'm a newbie here as well.

I've got a True Dual Borla setup on my stang. I've got a sixxer, but it's a very nice muffled sound. Not too loud, but you can definitely tell it's not stock. I love it.

Flowmasters or magnaflows should be fine. But the best sound out of the gt's is the borla stingers, I'll get a vud up tomarrow of my dads 08 GT with them on for ya

Basanni makes a great exhaust. There are millions of exhaust on YouTube. Perhaps try there for a better idea of how it's gonna sound for ya. And Congrats on ditching the Mazda. There is only 1 mustang

1st vid is stock

2nd vid is with Roush axelbacks

The Roush are under $400 and sound great.Loud and deep on the outside once broken in and quiet enough to have a normal conversation on the inside. Also,no drone whatsoever at any RPM.

Fun car but just too many problems. It would stall on me almost every morning and every time it would get hot. Took it to the dealer almost every 6 months to find out they couldn't find the problem. Just a bad experience all around

Re: Import to American Muscle

the RX8 has NO power and I dont like that it still burns oil like the old ones~

look into the ford racing axle back, its the same as the borla stingers for FAR less cash.

I just helped write AM's parts catalog and was researching different exhaust systems.

I think Borla or Bassani. I have flows right now and I like them but there's better in my opinion.

I don't think so. The website has different v6 chin spoilers available painted or unpainted, though.

I haven't done the '05-11 catalog yet. Just the foxbody-new edge catalog and I run their blog.

No, sorry. I was looking at '09.

Unpainted but it looks like they are only GT spoilers.
