I used to watch the Simpsons a lot when I smoked weed. I guess I might have to bring back that old flame to go watch the movie:smoke:

Back home in NY that was the only entertainment we had in town...it's quite the profitable business back there. Current rates: $7.00 per person = 2 Feature movies. Currently, on screen 1....Simpsons and Transformers...for $7.00.

Charcoal Corral and Silver Lake Drive-in

Agreed. The simpsons had started going into a downward spiral about 7 or 8 years ago but watching the movie has reminded me why I use to love that show. Great film

Re: Simpsons Movie

I was gonna' see it Thursday for a midnight showing but things came up and had to delay it till Saturday night...

It was awesome, I laughed the entire time. The Simpsons is the best cartoon of all time.

As for price, well $10 bucks and a packed house of pre-Simpson era, pre-pubescent, sheep following, emo-losers and wannabe gangsters kinda degraded it.

Anyone catch a few things where Bart never had Flanders as a father but in the series the kids were taken by child services and lived with the Flanders?

Re: Simpsons Movie

and in response to theatre pricing... around here (i live near downtown pittsburgh), i have at least 4 or 5 theatres within a stone throw away from me.

the nicest and most expensive is 10 something i think... its been a while since i went there though. its expensive.. but its kinda worth it. the seats are more comfortable than my couch, the theatre in general is beautiful and well maintained, and you can even have the option of ordering food during the film.

there are a few cheaper ones around 5-6... these theatres are crumby... but play new releases for a bit cheaper. you get what you pay for though.

and lastly we have a cheap theatre that has 1 dollar movies but the movies are a few months old... so movies like 300 are playing there currently.

unless its a big release, i usually wait for the cheap theatres or dvd... i might see simpsons soon though in the nice one. the extra 3 dollars is worth it to get rid of the noisy people, the sticky floors, and the uncomfortable seating.
