I got to tear into this today...

It weighed in at 56 pounds and blew papers off the desk when starting up.

This is the most impressive machine ever made by Dell.

yea, saying the most impressive production computer from Dell really doesnt do much for me other than equate to WAY to much money for what you get.

Re: I got to tear into this today...

I'm going to go to both websites and build a pretty good machine with same specs and we'll see how prices come out.

Best Bang for your buck is to build your own.

Stop buying manufactures PC's if you want the best performance for your buck

Well obviously

The setup I want is basically just like the alienware and the Dell that I built and it'll cost me a total of around 800-900 bucks total.

BTX board designed for cooling. The whole case is just designed to move air.

Re: I got to tear into this today...

I've always built mine b/c it's cheaper. The next one though I may buy from iBUYPOWER: Custom Build Gaming Computers Desktop PCs, Notebooks Just about the same price as building yourself w/o getting butt raped by companies like alienware. I figured up a nice set up that I wanted and not only do I get a 3 year warranty and lifetime tech support (I use Mark for that anyway though : P), I can use 'bill me later' so I don't have to drop a fat stack of cash up front. Yes there is no payment for 6 months, but I'll pay from month 1 on to keep the interest rate from hitting me up to bad. I would end up paying maybe 150$ more by getting it from ibuypower then building it myself.

What is the warranty on those Dells and HPs?
