I do need to learn how to drink modified corn and rice starch adjunct beer sometime but sadly, I just cannot bring g myself to drink a beverage that's water with the aftertaste of what should be a malted beverage.

Re: What are you drinking thread

And I can't bring myself to drink a beer that is so high in alcohol that it taste like a flat beer with alcohol mixed in it and makes my mouth taste like I was drinking coffee all night long when I wake up the next morning.

I do still want to try the Black Metal though.

That's why you drink a good microbrewed lager. A lot more character, great taste, and light enough for a person who can't stomach the hardcore beers. Not to mention there are health benefits from moderately consuming micrbrewed beer over domestics. If you ever needed help with taking your beer training wheels off, ill be happy to show you some things.

Re: What are you drinking thread

Lol,I can never understand why "Beer snobs" (stereotype) always assume that Light beer or domestic drinkers can't stomach their beers. It's not stomaching the beer it's about the taste preference.

Check this out......

Welcome To New York's Beer!

We just picked this up. They found old cans of this in the clean up of the twin towers. Has been around forever.

Try consuming a domestic lager compared to Sam Adams or any other session lager (Yuengling) with a healthy pedigree at room temperature. Adjunct just doesn't match up which is why the big 3 have been buying into the microbrew market for awhile now. Adjunct beer is like eating McDonald's in comparison to a 4 or 5 star restaurant.

Re: What are you drinking thread

There is no such thing as "The big 3" anymore, lol. AB is the only one that has been buying into that category because their market share has been flat for almost ten years. They have realized that they can't just sell Bud/ Bud light and survive. Also I have no desire to drink a beer at room temp.....again it's all about taste preference and location. Take your microbrew to a small *** town and see what they think about it. They will say the same about a Miller Lite or Bud light. It also has alot to do with being brand loyal just like the ford/Chevy debate.
