Re: What did you do today?

Me, the wife, and about 12 buddies took our Mustangs to a local car show... The show maybe had 40 cars in it. Not one of us in the Fort Riley Mustang Club received a winning trophy.... Instead, three of our members received consolation prizes. I have been promoting this car show online for 2 or 3 months... The Automotive Skills Center 10th Annual Car Show and Swap Meet seemed to be biased against us, perhaps they are threatened by our automotive club since they have a club of their own. This car show was definitely not worth the $20 entry fee.... I have a picture of our three consolation prize winners. The prize winning trophies were 5 feet tall.. ....

And the winners are John J, Ted, and Brian R....

Sat at home. Dad went and picked up the challenger. It's a 72 Challenger with a factory 340 4 speed. It's need a good bit of work. When the guy started to jack it up...the front end started to fall off. It has American Racing rims, and the tires in the back are almost as wide as from my elbow to the tips of my fingers.

Woke up and did a three mile run on the beach with my friend, Danielle, fellow 'Stang GT owner then breakfast, shopping, lunch, then back to the beach.

Went shopping and got a new bathing suit and new speakers for the Mustang.

I'm so jealous that u went on a beach run.. I can't even run right now. Running was my therapy.

Back to running again, Andy!!! It makes me feel so much better.

Edit: love beach runs... And it's the only place not smoked out right now because there's a sea breeze. Smoke is crazy. How is it there? Are you getting smoke from the okefenokee swamp fire?

Not this far north yet. But if the breeze changes we could. A few years ago we got it bad. That's miserable that you guys are getting smoke.

We had some storms the past two days but it's still really smoky and these fires keep popping up! Allergies are outta control. Lol glad you guys are not getting the smoke! Some days the elderly and children are advised to stay indoors.

That's horrible so many elderly people live there. St. Augustine is such a beautiful place. They show pictures of that on the news here almost every night . They said our peanut and cotton production is way down this year due to the fires. Yesterday they showed footage of homes in the path.

Having a pint with a best friend at The Rogue Ale House in Portland sipping on a tasty malted beverage, listening to "Learning To Fly" in the background.
