I have a bowl thats a little over a gallon I think, that's what he's in now my dad had one that lasted for 6 years or so in a same size bowl so I think he'll be okay, was looking up online and once I have the money I'm going to get him this badass bowl that has everything, for now that will have to do

I do want to grab some small guppys or something so he wont be forever alone, I'll ask petsmart

Thanks! And I would Savannah, but it's only for a grand d: That's all book money! Cool thing is that I'll be going to WTC for a year and they have a partnership with Texas Tech so all my credits will transfer when I do! Even better than that is that, since WTC is here were I live, if I graduate here I can get full tuition to the college and not pay a single cent, except for books!

You can get them from eBay for $90. They're from a seller named ilovetacotaco. They're the only ones I found that had a stock look adjuster. The other ones have those crappy metal dials.

I should just buy a bowl and put a screen In it then watch the beta try to fight each other...
Or get a male and female, and watch nature at its finest moment. I once had hamsters that got it on in a cage once.

Doesn't the female lay eggs in then the male fertilizes them?

as weird as this sounds, you should see sharks doing it, it's literally the funniest thing in existence, (we had to watch for biology okay most awkward class ever)

Actually you can't leave the two together for an extended amount of time. The male blows a nest out bubbles, the female lays the eggs in it, and the male fertilizes and guards them. The male may actually kill the female if they are left in the same tank.

Just because they're tough doesn't mean they will be happy or healthy without the things other fish need to live. They can survive in room temp, but it can hurt their fins and respiratory system. I keep my house pretty cold, so I bought one of those cheap "stick" heaters and noticed the fish really enjoyed hanging out near it...
