It's been broke down since feb, mostly since I don't have the money to dump into it at the dealer. The phasers/tentioners are major problems in these trucks. Mine went, fixed it myself...was running good then the pass manifold got a leak. Took it off and a bolt snapped in the head. Soooo off came the head. Got it all back together and there are no codes and it runs like shiot with no balls. Have had two mechanics give up on it.

She rocked, she told us to follow our dreams no matter what any body says. And the coolist thing was that before walking off stage he said God bless you all. She freakin rocks, as do her band members. Oh man that was a sick bass.

Pulled the head off of the civic. Blown head gaskets suck when it's due to ignorant mechanics.

Neat. Are gonna resurface the head before you slap it back together?

The surface looks good, just going to check it to make sure it's not warped in the am. A couple of head bolts were loose so it would be a plus for it to be flat, if not then its off to a machine shop.

Good. I've always sent my heads over to get machined. My 240sx used to pop a head gasket about every two years. I have two heads for that car. So it'd be a quick change and back on the road the same day. While the newly blown head can take its time at the machine shop. I miss that car. It's been sitting dormant in my backyard since January. I think when it gets cooler out I'm gonna pull it out and get her going again.

That's a good idea, hopefully I won't have to get another head though. That's more money than I want to invest in a civic. Lol

Poke around them Honda kids forums. They're always tossing out good parts so they can swap in something JDM. I got a whole drivetrain for my 240sx for free just because the guy wanted an SR20DET swap. Lol, he didn't even have it yet.

Lol, I might do that. I was even surprised to see 4valves per cylinder on this model with a Sohc.
