Inadvertently raced a 50someodd year old Arabian guy today on the way to drop my wife off at work. I was in the lane on his left about halfway past his car, so I pressed on the gas just enough to get the transmission to step down a gear so I could get in front of him and move right 2 more lanes to get off the interstate. Just as I was about to move over I looked and the Arabian dude had hit the gas too (in a grand Prix looking car ) so I floored it and in a couple second was far enough ahead to get over, so I let off and moved over, again, I was fixing to move into the lane I needed to be in to exit the interstate, there he was, so I hit the gas again and in a couple seconds was well in front of him

It sounds very nice with the Mach 460 system. It was from crutchfield so it came with everything needed for install. No guess work. And it also had the adapter so that I didn't loose al my bass like is common with aftermarket units with the 460 without the adapter present.

I had that happen a few days ago vs a new charger, silly white guy. I just floored enough to get in front if him, after a while of me doing this, my exit came up, and I was further ahead than I thought, my estimate is 5 car lengths.

That's always a bummer. I have on call periods and when that pager goes off my heart sinks. My wallet gets fatter but it really blows. Not this weekend though! I'll have a drink for you.

I've been off since noon on the 24th and still have the weekend. And I'm on salary being military. I can technically get called in at any time though. Makes it an incentive to stay slightly buzzed so I can't drive in if they call me lol. jk jk.

That's not a bad plan! Definitely wouldn't fly for me though. I'd be in a world of trouble if I was buzzed and got called in. Enjoy your long break!

Might as well get it if you can. There are plenty of lazy *** bums that abuse it, might as well give it to someone that deserves it

That's kinda the way me and my wife look at it, we both work our tails off, but if we still qualify I'm going to use it because I pay for it with taxes, lol. Plus its nice to have a little peace of mind that if i have a week or 2 where I don't get the hours I need for some reason, there's still food for my wife and son.

I've had to live on food stamps before, and unemployment and all that, but the part that pisses me off is there are the idiots out there like my little sister who will ride it out on the programs for as long as they can. Yea, they have to fill out so many applications per week or month, and they do, but the applications they fill out are for jobs they will never even be considered for because they don't have the qualifications. So they look at the programs as a way of living rather than what its supposed to be for as a way to survive until you can find a job, or a way to suplement what you already make.

One thing I will say, growing up with a parent who lives on disability, is that they do not make it easy to get off of assistance. You get to a certain point where you make "too much money" and they cut you off completely, which hurts you more than it helps because then you are struggling to still put food on the table and you are no better or worse off than you were before. Which i know is why a few stay on the assistance like they do, because they get (for example) $1000/mo in assistance, but as soon as they start making $500/mo at a job they lose everything. It's a very flawed system.

I agree I used it when my daughter was still on formula cause they was $20 a can and she went through them fast. Now that she drinks from the gallon we don't get it no more. When I used to cashier I would see people try to abuse it. I didn't care so my friends and i would say some nasty stuff to them

Me and my wife learned with our son, to start out with breastfeeding, but tell WIC you were doing half and half, that way you can stock up for later on the formula. Because as they get older they definately go through more than WIC pays for.

Yea, sorry for the book lol, i guess you could say it's kind of a sore subject for me. There is so much they could do to fix the problem. Millions of dollars a year wasted on non-taxpaying illegals with these programs because they dont require much to get started up on it. If we would stop with the (basically) asylum we have created where people can come here illegally and take our living assistance programs and feed them to their families back home we wouldn't have this bad of a debt problem
