I love the 40S&W. That's going to be my CC gun when I'm old enough and have the permit. I'll buy a S&W MP40c. It's a bit snappy, but not bad at all.

40S&W is a snappy round. One gun I'd love to have is the Kimber Warrior 1911, it's the civilian version of what the marines carry. Too bad that it's about 1.6K

That's what I meant, MARSOC has the 1911, coast guard has the sig 229, seals mainly use the sig 226 and HK45c, everyone else has the beretta. We have a beretta 92 that will be transferred over to me when I'm 21. I mowed a lot of lawns to get enough for that.

Absolutely agree. 22 is a learners round, that's all. Although, sometimes it ricochets inside the skull...

I disagree here, 22 may be a small round, but that doesn't mean they are useless in a real life scenario. I don't think when you shoot someone they are going to be like "oh, that was just a 22, might as well be an air soft gun." Good friend of mine was an army ranger, 14 years in the army total, loves 22s.

Well, regardless of the round used, it will hurt. 22 will do damage, especially in the skull, where it may rattle around. But I'd take our JHP 9mm, 40, or 45 over it any day.

First of all, any gun instructor worth their salt WILL tell not to aim for the head in any life threatening situation, a lot of times it does not kill. You ALWAYS go for the center mass!! In a life threatening situation you don't mess around. And a .22 does the job just fine.

Plus they are way easier to get good cycling ammo for

Nothing wrong with a .22, Hannah! My mom has a walther p22. But most .22 semi autos are very picky on what shoots good and around me .22 is really hard to get a hold of.

I know to go center mass, I've been handling and shooting guns since I was 9, and we own about 10 guns. 4 of which will be transferred to me when I'm old enough legally, which is less than 5 months for 3 of them. I'm just saying that I would pick nearly any other round over a 22.

y'all just gotta remember even a 40 will sometimes not eliminate the threat right away. And that some 9 rounds will make the same hole a 40 does.

For the guys a 40 or 45 won't take out, that's why 50 exists, and 12 gauge.
