Mississippi River Levels

Is anyone else close to the miss river? Projected to be the highest in many years. Lots of serious concern around here. One levee breach and we are in trouble. I know it's pretty damn high up north already.

He better. They may be opening the flood gates there too. It's a bad deal. If the levee goes, it will make Katrina look like nothing.

Couple iPhone pics. Will get better ones but the river won't crest for another two weeks. This platform is usually at least 20ft from dry ground.

Few more pics. The tree line is usually dry ground. The barge is where the river usually is. Looking at another 6 or 7 ft easy.

Re: Mississippi River Levels

Lol...you ain't seen water yet.

We're 2 feet from coming over the flood walls in downtown Memphis at the moment. All the local rivers are backing up and flooding. Luckily we've crested, 47.8 feet. That's higher than the 1927 level and slightly under the 1937 level.

Damn dude. I was wondering how that area was doing. I saw that tunica is catching hell too. Getting pretty nervous down here.

Every casino between us and you is closed. Most of them have at least a foot or two of water in them. Just found out Harlow's in Greenville lost their sandbag flood wall this afternoon so it's now a loss.
