Re: Best Beer on the Planet!

I could tell you a story about Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA... I drank them like they were Bud Lights.. not realizing that drinking one was like drinking two budlights.... they were so tasty though.

Result: I had to fly out of Denver the next day and would have been fine with the plane crashing. My body was in so much pain.

I haven't had the 120 minute but I do love the 90 minute, in moderation.

My other favorite is Arrogant Bastard Ale

90 minute to 120 minute is like the difference between 3.8 and ME.. Nice if you've never had the best, but once you have 120, you couldn't stand to ever sip 90 again (honestly.. would pass on 90 ever time... even for PBR)

Re: Best Beer on the Planet!

Impossible to choose just one.

If I had to choose a few:

- Stone 13th Anniversary Ale - no longer brewed, but Brent and PureVenom have had that on my back porch with me. It was a one year brew, but I really wish I bought it everywhere I could've because it was so damn good

- Yeti Imperial Stout - best all around stout I've had

- Arrogant Bastard Ale - great for a somewhat easy to find craft beer

I must try this DFH 120. Though, not for 50 bucks a bottle.

I was thinking the same thing. But yeah $50 is way too much for a bottle beer.

Re: Best Beer on the Planet!

If you guys are going to spend big money on a beer, at least be real men and buy one with 32% ABV

Re: Best Beer on the Planet!

I'm a huge fan of DFH beers. I havent had the chance to have 120. WHen it comes into season a couple bars around here get it on tap. I'm just waiting for that to happen. Its usually not $50 a bottle but their last batch brewed was not up to their standards and they dumped the whole thing.

Strait to ale porter and milk stout are at the top of my list right now.

Also up there is burried hatchet stout and I can't get enough of anchor porter right now.

Buried Hatchet is one of my current favorites. That stuff is good. I've been really impressed with all of Southern Star's offerings, so far.

Re: Best Beer on the Planet!

How about some ones that are easier to find and still amazing, Anchor Steam, or Fat Tire? Love both of those!

Re: Best Beer on the Planet!

I love pretty much anything abita makes and its so easy for me to get here. Purple haze and their wheat seasonal are my favorites. The strawberry is awesome too. They don't have many craft beers where I shop so the stuff they carry in 6 packs is about all I know lol. I also love the wheat shiner makes I think its heffenweisen or something along those lines lol

Gotta love the molson canadian.

I also have a friend at work that brews his own, quite good stuff. My normal favorites are Guiness, Harp, Blue Moon, Magnolia Pecan.
