Another California Banning Law

But this time I agree with this one.

Re: Another California Banning Law

i dont see singling out teens as helping any.

IMO no cell phone at all for the driver. period. no matter if theyre 16-18 or 80 years old.

its been proven that the single act of talking in a conversation (cell or in-car) while driving greatly limits your focus on the road. hands free devices really dont make a difference other than the fact when the driver does **** up, they can correct with both hands instead of one, but if they werent talking, it wouldnt matter because they wouldnt **** up in the first place.

if youre driving and the cell rings, answer it with "im driving, ill call you back" and done. then either pull over into a gas station if its important or just wait till you get to your destination.

Re: Another California Banning Law

Talking on the cell in the jeep is damn near impossible, so I don't usually answer. I also think singling out the teens is because most of them text while driving. I have seen it many times and it scares the fecal matter out of me.

Re: Another California Banning Law

I worked with a kid who wouldn't drive faster than 60mph but would text while driving. He was also Emo and all around pansy that no one liked. He also drove an Elantra so I doubt it even got up to 60.

Re: Another California Banning Law

Uhm....I drive around on the phone the majority of the day, and often texting on my personal phone.

What's fun is talking on the phone to a customer, reading a map, watching traffic, and your other phone starts ringing....makes for an interesting stop.

Yup, customers usually don't like it if you blow them off because you are driving.

Re: Another California Banning Law

If I pulled over everytime I got a call I'd never get anything done. I often drive 200-250 miles a day to cover everywhere I need to go.
