Great... First ticket.

Kind of self explanatory... I'm so lucky though, got clocked at 65 on a 45, I was going 85 before I slowed down.

Haha, that sucks... I'm 17, so I'll have to go to court too... But I'm so lucky! He didn't give me a ticket for reckless driving, just speeding...

Haha, that's weird... I know! Haha, I have a date tomorrow night too, so not telling the parents until after that... I'll be lucky if my car isn't taken away for a few months and I don't have to start paying my insurance... Oh, and I'll be dead, I'm sure of that...

Re: Great... First ticket.

You'll have to do driving school or else you are going to absolutely hate your life for the next three years, insurance wise.

Get driving school done ASAP!! Another friend of mine had to do it after rear ending a truck(both his brake lights were out, go figure.) he got all his points taken away so he has a clean slate and insurance is ok!

Wait so at one point you were doin 85 in a 45? You're lucky he didn't clock you at that.

Whatever you do when you take that defensive driving class don't take it online dude that thing drags on. It's way more work then in class.

If it's anything like Ky the insurance company still finds out about your speeding ticket. Traffic school only gives you your points back so you don't lose your licence if you are close to losing them due to high points.

I'm sorry, man. Be careful. I'm not proud of my driving record. It all went downhill from when I was 18. I'm good now but for awhile the state of FL took a lot of my money for my stupid mistakes. I did lose my license for 2 years at one point, all speeding (no DUI or anything) then my mom made me sell my Sebring. People with DUIs were getting their licenses back before me. I missed a lot of classes because of traffic court. Lol. I'm so glad that's all in the past now.

I got 4 within a five week period. Luckily here we have an attorney known as mr ticket. Give him 100 bucks a ticket and he'll fight it for you. Well known for winning the cases

Re: Great... First ticket.

I've got a tip coming from another 17yr old Don't speed and no ticket will happen. I know its hard I drive my dads 08 GT 5spd all the time and he is looking into getting me a 1990 5.0 so I'll have plenty o temptation...
