Hurricane Irene

Just wanted to send positive thoughts and prayers to fellow mustang owners in Irene's path. Be safe and keep us all updated. I'm waiting this one out at home in Northern Va...looks to be an interesting weekend...

Thanks! Not too worried about it yet...I'm taking precautions but I'm really concerned for the folks down south.

Was Florida supposed to get a hurricane? I heard them saying it was going to be a bad one but all we got was a couple nice down pours :p I think they were lying.....it was just passing thunderstorms. On another note will pray for y'all up the coast, hope no one gets hurt or has a horse get hurt. I hate vet bills you know....

Re: Hurricane Irene

rain just started in Northern New Hampshire.. Expecting rain to continue through the weekend (feel like I live in Portland Oregon again), with winds in the 35-55mph range tomorrow once the tropical storm passes over us

Re: Hurricane Irene

Good luck, prayers & thoughts going out to everyone dealing with this storm.

I'm 10-15 miles west of NYC. Moderate, on & off rain started around 1pm. It got more consistent around 5 pm. It's been raining pretty hard since 8 or 9. Around 2" of rain as of 12:30 am. So far not a lot of wind, just some gusts, but it's picking up. According to the forecasts I've seen, the eye is either going to pass right over us or just to our east around 9-10 am tomorrow with sustained winds of 65-80 mph. Not looking forward to it. Like you said, should be an interesting day.

Yeah people take it too seriously because it's our home and livelihood...when you don't live on the gulf coast or the southern coast you really forget how horrible these storms are....even ones that don't do a lot of damage require a lot of time and effort....2 piers were completely destroyed....that's people's jobs and memories...I just thank God ours is okay.

I live in the west coast you guys get warnings when you get a natural disaster the damn ground opens up from beneath us at any moment! I've talked to a lot of people that say they won't live in Cali for that reason

oh no I won't live in cali, but it's not for that reason......I just don't believe any natural disaster should be taken lightly.
