Finish college first, then apply for a commission. You will thank yourself later!

It has its ups and downs like any other job but it keeps you busy and it can be challenging. First year on board is learning how to support the boat and learning how to combat the casualties it can throw at you because everyone is the damage control team on board. After that things get easier and you develop a brotherhood with everyone on board since you share a small space. A cool headed smart @ss is the type of guy u want on the boat. What a sub does while it's out is the most entertaining part which I am unable to speak of

What job did they offer u on a sub?
What did you sign up for?
