Auto shopping sites?

What sites do you use or have you used when looking for used vehicles?

I'm looking for something that will accept certain features such as engine size, trans, interior, etc if possible.

Also what does Ford call their version of "stepside"? Is it just stepside or is it styleside or flareside or what?

Re: Auto shopping sites?

I've just always used autotrader...found a few vehicles that way.

As far as the stepside...I believe it's called the flareside on the new trucks.

you would be correct...on new F-series trucks, styleside (SS) corresponds to the regular box bed; flareside (FS) corresponds to your previously named step-side bed...

there are several sites out there really, and most work the same:

cars.com
vehix.com
autotrader.com (my preferred site)
ebay.com
etc...

Re: Auto shopping sites?

I figured you'd chime in Chris...since you just bought one and all lol.

I've been toying with the idea of buying another truck with the ranger down and all...but if I can wait 2 more months I'll have a work truck I can use for whatever..just hate waiting. That and I hate putting these traveling miles on the stang for work, just extra wear and tear.

It's just hard for me to justify spending 15-18k on another truck like I want...

Re: Auto shopping sites?

Yeah, I've tried ebay and there don't ever seem to be any that are flareside.

Thanks for the site list
