lol I'm not worried or surprised.

This happens every year. Fire in the fall and winter normally brings the cold weather and by January LA is flooding.

Re: Sweet...Cali is burning

You bet your ***, and we'll call it some other Latin name. Like Stormy Sanchez or something.

You'd think that with all the dry brush we have here and the hot summers they'd have sprinkler systems set up at crucial areas and they'd go off from time to time to have the plants soak up some water. Or something that is made for fighting these kinds of fires..

They can't do that because it would destroy ecosystems and kill the baby condors. Or something like that.

That stuff is out in Baja California. Nothing here where the fires start except for houses people and pets.

NO ****, I mean what more do you need to tell you NOT TO LIVE SOMEWHERE... To think a random earthquake could put the state into the ocean, Arnold is the dam governor, ****tiest gas and emission laws in the US, and the place is burning like it was soaked in methanol.... COME ON PEOPLE!!

What I'm really surprised is that all the N.O. people are *****ing how the upper/middle class is being taken care of, but the bottom of the barrel got left to drown and kill themselves off.

however you dont see anyone *****ing about FEMA not being here, not enough supplies, etc. Everyone is camping out at the one stadium (i want to say anaheim) and they are fully stocked.

The fires are only big because they came after the season was supposedly over. They lay off most of the fighters after fire season, so when they did sprout up so fast there was nobody to fight them. they will only last about another week, they are bringing everyone back on for the month and they will get taken care of.

a single earthquake will not drown the state, take a geology class. emissions laws will soon be standard so i feel more sorry for the states that will have to adapt after years of not doing so. Ahnuld tried to ease up on regulations for aftermarket people but everyone else ****ed that over (they know how much money they can make off of emissions ****).

It's official...this fire is a result of Global Warming. There was just a news report on it...they had a Fire expert on and he has confirmed...this is a result of global warming.

That's it...everyone get out there, stop driving, buy your carbon credits....otherwise the world is going to end. Gore needs your money...buy those credits now!!!!

Take things personally much???? The post was almost 100 percent sarcasm.... Man didn't think I spent that much time away from the site that you guys forgot how I am....

The fall into the ocean part was a Superman joke. Emissions, meh.. I live in mississippi... That would be right above minnesota as far as up to date we are(they just got speed limits on highways several months ago). I drive my no catted, untuned notch on slicks(the tread finally wore off the MT DR's ) with dumped exhaust next to, in front of, etc. cops on a daily basis. You guys are decades ahead of us as far as the goverment workers knowing what they are looking at as far as day to day stuff goes . So we're set.

But again I say, let it burn.

Re: Sweet...Cali is burning

I heard it's costing California more than it was Katrina's damage in the south.

Then again, I know a lot of people here in Cali donating and moving over there to help out. I doubt we'll get anything. And why not? Because our laws here are more strict because they have to be. There's more people here than in any other state, which means more vehicles, more everything.

i did not donate a cent to the Katrina ****tards. Nobody will donate a cent when the Big One hits, so **** 'em. you know what we will get? the entire nation saying "well you knew it was coming, so why did you not prepare" and its like, well N.O. and that entire region knew one day the big one would skip past florida and right into their doorsteps but they did nothing as well, and the whole nation gives them all this sympathy, while they rob and pillage, pull guns on coast guard, blame FEMA for being lazy, when they knew a week in advance a hurricane was going to hit within 100mi of their area, that was the time to get the **** out. ****, if California got 10 seconds warning before the big one hits it would be practically a god-send, we will get no warning whatsoever, and just have to deal with it. I think when the big one hits, yea, itll suck, but it will be Californias finest hour, finally everyone will pull together and not just melt into disarray.

yeah i know, cause, you just so get to choose where your parents chose to settle down.

and its like the entire intraweb thinks everyone can just up and move . I dont know how the hell someone would attempt to move to another state, i mean, first youd have to send resume's, get interviews, fly out under pretense that theres a high likely hood you are just wasting your time, then while youre interviewing you have to look for an apartment or such, get applications going for that, fly back home, wait for someone to call you and hire you back, possibly do a second interview, etc. then moving all your ****? holy crap. i think the farthest logically i could move right now would be Vegas unless i moved to NY and hung out with gramps and the rest of my fathers side till i got all settled down.

Been there, done that, twice. It isn't as hard as you make it out. The employer pays for the flights. They typically give you info on apt's and such.....there are usually studio apt type places that rent by the week for corporate use for temporary residence until you find something more permanant....some companies even buy your house from you if you need to sell it to move.

Out of state moves are not as tough as one might think.

Edit: Actually...done it three times...NY to Louisiana.....LA to NY....and then NY back to LA again.

now is that sticking with your current employer though?

we are currently doing just what you have done, we are paying for this guys flights, moving expenses, etc. just to move him from one of our east coast (connecticut) companies to our facility. However id like to say, hes leaving the **** branch to come to ours (sadly, however ****ed up my branch/facility is, its still the biggest/best out of all 5 USA branches). my only options of inter-company transfer would be a facility in so-cal (Fontana) that makes single-skin panels (a really small operation), our insulated panel counterpart in Florida (middle of nowhere florida), another single-skin facility in Connecticut, or our architectural counterpart based in Ohio. we have to focus on two operations basically, standard siding and architectural, whereas all the other facilities only have one thing going for them, thus why we kick *** and they dont.

I however do not wish to stay under my larger corporation. I think my facility kicks ***; its our corporate entity that has basically killed us (notice im not naming any names here). Had my facility not sold itself to the main corporation, its likely safe to say we would have very well been the ones buying them out years from now, but the larger entity saw that and made an offer the owner could not refuse.
