I've heard Korea does not allow the import of American vehicles...so I won't buy one....I only buy American made cars anyway so I guess it doesn't even matter. They are making some nice looking vehicles now and I've heard they have gotten better. My mother in laws sonata has a belt squealing problem that won't go way..

Eh, like I said I still only buy American...the only foreign cars I've owned since I have ha my license was one Nissan 300zx and two BMW 318's (a 79 and a 83)

Other than that I've owned:
5 dodge neons
3 f150 4x4 supercrews (1 4.6 and 2 5.4's)
A Chrysler Pacifica
A ford ranger
A 92 5.0 lx vert
And my 02 gt vert

You're thinking of North Korea..
North Korea and South Korea are two VERY different places. Their only commonality it seems is the border they share. North Korea's totalitarian government does not allow import OR export of ANYTHING.
KIA also has a huge assembly plant in Georgia. Not sure what goes on there, but with how popular the Optimas have come, that's probably where they're being built.

I'm not defending Hyundai/KIA, but good information is never a bad thing, right?

I ran into a primer Honda today with a huge wing white body kit held on with zip ties and a fart can exhaust he revved his engine at me and took off missing second and chirping a tire I gave my car half throttle and passed him and when I pulled up to him he said "my Turbo just blew at 50 psi what's under you cars Hood? Supercharged ls8?" I just smiled and replied "bone stock 4.6 ford motor" he looked baffled lol

Re: Idiots R- US

My wife has a hyundai sonata it gets great mileage and is very comfortable we use it when we go on vacation instead of taking the stang. Hyundai has improved a lot since they first came out, I was going to get a genesis coupe if I could'nt find the mustang I wanted.

That's so it can fill up with water and give extra weight for traction.

Then, without me saying two words to him, he got defensive and he said, "My sh¡t is built, not bought!" Bad lighting but the car looked spray painted red with the door grooves black. And let's not forget the SUPER SPOILER.

Re: Idiots R- US

My point is...why spend all that money on mods to still drive a Hyundai thy only puts down just over 300 whp? Itd be different if it was a luxury car, and you wanted to ride in style and have power, but now he has a lot of money invested in a non-luxury slow car. Not tryin to bust his balls...just don't understand the logic unless he has a passion for that car or something...

Why hate on someone who likes their car. You do remember that up to '04 the mustang gt only put out 260 hp to the fly wheel

Agreed. My 00 gt was slow as Crap by todays standards. If I wouldn't have traded up for my 5.0 I'd still be rockin that $#!* like it was the badest thing on the road.

While I agree with the statement on "hating", I have to point out that comparing even a stock 8 year old car to anything of today is pointless. Camrys and Accords with v6s make 300HP. I respect most cars that make power, and unless they are just ridiculous, I don't give anyone a hard time or "hate" on them. But I will point out that for a fully built car running lots of boost, those numbers aren't very impressive. If I built and boosted my single cam caveman technology 4.6 it would make 311hp look pedestrian.

The Genesis Spec V makes more HP then the our mustang 5.0 with its 5.0. They are considering putting its 5.0 in the coupe. It will be nasty.

On another note watched a civic Turbo run 10.6@133 last night. And a all motor one run 11.3@127.

Hondai has stated that they cannot put the 5.0 in the genesis coupé

U guys are retarded, my shifter kart had about 45hp yet it would rape almost any road car 0-60 wise.

Why?

It only weighs 200lbs with me in it 350lbs. Its all about power to weight ratio, why do you think 300hp civics are fast as ****. Kudos tothat genesis i like it alot 300hp in tht thing must be fun. Espc since the 2.0t weighs less than the 3.6
