Sorry if you own a 4.6 and this offends you. Might want to hang out in the 4.6 sections (all of them lol).

Sorry if you own a 4.6 and this offends you. Might want to hang out in the 4.6 sections (all of them lol). | I can build my 4.6 to have great power....it may be able to be beaten by a dodge skittle at the moment but it looks a whole lot sexier...they may not have as much power but I've had my share of racing "tuners built for drag" and stomped them...stomped them on the roll as well. It has decent power and great looks and that is why I love it. I still to this day remember in 1999 when I saw my first "new edge" all shiny and black rumbling by me at Kings Island in Cincinnati, Ohio, I got super excited and told every one I would own one of those someday....took me 10 years but I got one and I'll never let it go. I DI hope to get me one of those next anniversary ones though... ---------- Post added at 07:51 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:49 AM ---------- Quote: |

Yeah I just don't get it. Are you people afraid to buy an economy car because there are sport compacts that are faster? Afraid to buy a truck that isn't a Lightning? I enjoy my car and couldn't care less if a Camaro is faster because I don't race on the street, and there aren't many of those hunks of crap still running around because Chevy got grossly outsold when they were running the gen 4. There are Honda Civics that don't even have real paint that would blow the doors off a Coyote, even with the basic mods and a tune. Does that mean you guys have to have a primer black Civic because the new Mustang got embarassed?

My mustang is my toy and I plan on racing it. The 4.6 made 100 less hp from the start and the stock block topped out where the 5.0 was perfectly safe with a few hundred bucks of bolt ons. Also, I was able to trade my 4.6 in and get a similar 5.0 without my payment going up at all or putting a bunch of cash down, mostly because the car was in such good shape from NOT using it as a dd.
Different strokes I suppose, but the way I see it even 300hp is completely excessive to use for commuting. I actually use my sports car as intended, on the track.
Also, check out this gem!

That's with taxes included also. Got the car last nov. they had no choice but to get rid of it at any cost cause it would sit all winter and depreciate more over time and with the 13s coming out

Look for a used 2011 premium and you can get a 5.0 with leather for 25k. Someone just posted one asking if he should get it.
As far as next car for me. Well I will still keep mustang. Only way not is if something happened to it.
Since 05 my wife or I have owned all new Jetta gti, Monti Carlo SS, cobalt SS, silverado, G8 GT, manual 5.0, auto 5.0, equinox, explorer sport, 2 rav4 limiteds, 4 runner, juke, cbr600rr, cbr1000rr, so by no means have I been brand loyal to any one brand. We tend to get rid of cars after a year to year and half. Some times sooner. But my mustang I will keep forever. It will eventually be a track only car. ---------- Post added at 12:07 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:05 PM ---------- Also paid 25k new for my manual 5.0 a week after they came out. And 30k for my auto premium.

Leather looks nice, but if I could go back I would have gotten a base model over a premium. I really feel the leather and shaker were a total waste of money, and I could have bought a Paxton for the difference.
