I can't say about other Lincoln colleges, but the local Colorado Lincoln Tech is a joke. I talked with an automotive supervisor at UPS and he said that when he sees Lincoln Tech on a resume he throws it in the trash.

Thanks for the reply, he was trying to make a decision and talk me into going with him but I have seen so many bad review on the Internet that's why I asked you guys. I have been working on cars for a while now I'm still pretty young tho (21) but my dad was a class A diesel and I have been around mechanic work ever since I can remember. I consider myself a pretty good mechanic I build my own motors and all the only think I have never tried is rebuilding transmissions. I was just curious also myself it would help me get a job in the future if I had some kinda degree/paperwork saying I went threw some kinda training. Thanks

Welcome. The good schools are Wyotech and UTI. Personally I'm just going through a local community college.

Re: Lincoln tech automotive program

most of those schools are very expensive (cost far more than you gain out of it 99% of the time it seems). This is just going on what ive read. I am sure with every 1 person that hates it 1 loves it.

You should talk to graduates (not the ones the school tells you to talk to) that have been in the field for 1-3 years and see if it was a mistake or what they would do differently if anything.
