Talking Any airsoft fans? Here's my guns

Me and my friend decided to give them both an updated look. We are going with ACU's for our uniforms so we painted the rifle in camo and went all black on the AK47 and added a silencer. It doesn't make it any quieter, but it looks badass haha.

Before:

After: (Camera phone pic so the coloring isn't perfect on the gun)

Re: Any airsoft fans? Here's my guns

ill post up when i get home. just got a sniper rifle for like 150$, accurate as ****, im popping off soda cans from across the yard, or putting the same bb in the same hole on the cardboard box. Pretty powerful though, shoots a .20g at 450-500fps and goes straight through soda cans. i dont think i will use it on people unless at a pretty far distance to give them a chance.

we play once a month at a buddies house, he has a wooded grove with fields on either side thats perfect for CTF or team based games.

Re: Any airsoft fans? Here's my guns

Thanks Herb, I still haven't played a game yet, but from what I hear is a lot of fun.

Thomas, most games played have a minimum shooting distance. My rifle shoots at about 450fts. It has a lot of upgrades. My guess is yours is in the high 300fps.

I've shot just about every airsoft gun you could think of .The shop at the field has a huge selection. We carry Tokyo Marui, ICS, CMYA and Firepower in the AEGs. For Gas Guns, KWA, HFC, UTGs and Firepower Nothing like a airsoft gun to keep the ref's in line I can get'em from across the field

better not ****ing shoot only 300fps. maybe i should call up Jamie and Adam and we can test it out, get some ballistics gel, high speed camera and scale and test it and whatnot. all i know is i am used to seeing the bb's fly through the air, even with 300fps guns, but i cant see the bb with this gun, and i was using some bright *** green .20g's.

however that was the conclusion we came up with, a minimum distance that you could not use the sniper rifles if people got such and such yards close. We were thinking one sniper per team, the sniper position could not move, and could not fire at targets within a certain zone, they could however use their pistols if you get in that range (i have 2 M92 pistols with extra clips)

i dont like paintball. i got riddled with paintballs when i was young, and i still remember how it felt. i like to stick with Airsoft because its cheap (aside from the exception which is a 150$ sniper rifle), since its less painful, more people are likely to jump in for the fun factor, and not have to worry about pain involved.

Re: Any airsoft fans? Here's my guns

There is a way to test to see if it is 500fps or more. Take a coke can get the barrel of the gun 2inches away. Try and shoot the top of the can(the metal rim). If it shorts a whole through it you are 500fps or higher.

seriously?

i would think before the mass of a .20g bb flying at 500fps was enough to break through the hemmed rim of the can, the can would just flip into the air from the impact, or the bb would shatter (they shatter when i shoot the stucco siding of my house or straight into concrete).

Ill try it when i get home anyways. give me something new to shoot. i was shooting into my pool the other day, makes funny little "ploop" sounds. it goes through both sides of the can if that means anything, only thing ive seen that does that was a CO2 powered one.

yeah umm, i dont think theres any way a plastic BB is shooting through the rim of the can at any speed. unless the can must be full as not to just get shot away from the impact.

Re: Any airsoft fans? Here's my guns

My Arsenal (and busted can pics).

(2) KWC S&W Clear replicas (1911's) with 2 extra clips

(2) UHC M92 Replicas with 2 extra clips (way more accurate and powerful than the S&W's, and a bit heaver and more realistic)

(8) Ebay Special ****ty ones (very small, fit in almost any pocket, 0 accuracy), got em for 10$ shipped for all 8. Was planning on mounting a UV LED into the barrel and using the UV BB's and making Tracer weapons out of them, doesnt work great at all though.

(1) Shotgun (15$ special, shoots like two bb's at once, and the third dribbles out of the barrel, or doesnt shoot anything at all and 3 bb's dribble out of the barrel, however pump action means you can shoot alot more)

(1) Well L96 Sniper Rifle

Re: Any airsoft fans? Here's my guns

yup. F&F is still one of my favorite movies, and the xXx poster is the only one i have left thats the same size as the F&F poster. they both cover up two giant chunks of drywall that came out with the shelf that used to be there when i overloaded it and it came off the wall taking chunks of drywall with it. theres another F&F one to the left of the xXx one but its a bit smaller in size, and opposite of that (so 4 posters total) is the Thunderbird Evolution poster.

dont be jealous Nate, just cause i dont have pictures of you on my wall...........

Take the gun to any paintball field and shot across the chronograph to get your FPS

Re: Any airsoft fans? Here's my guns

I prefer Airsoft over paintball anyday. Not becuase of the pain factor, but because I love the realism of the guns. Also if youve played both you notice a diffrence in the way paintballers play, and the way airsofters do. Airsoft to me just seems more tactical while paintball just seems like you just pray and spray.

It's all tactical, sure. The thing I don't get about tournament ball, is how much paint they go through, though. They're out there with their electric paint hoses blowing 200 rounds through their Halo hoppers faster than they can fill them up! God only knows how much they (or their sponsors) are paying for a case of paint. I couldn't ever afford it, even if I was good enough to play.

It's been way too long since the last time I played any paintball.

Re: Any airsoft fans? Here's my guns

Your right there both tactical, but what I meant was that the play seems diffrent. I find that paintballers like to play in more open areas with obsticals, while airsoft players prefer more wooded and brush terrain. Thats just my observation though, and Ive never heard of Tourney.

I really miss playing paintball in the woods. There used to be a field not too far away from here that had a few woods courses and some scenario type fields. Now every paintball place that gets built is indoor speedball or just has an assortment of the inflatable bunker fields. :dunno:

That's the impression I have about paintball as well. I would love to play in a more wooded environment where you did more than just see how fast you can blow through your tube of paint.

The stuff that I am exposed to is mainly just TV...tourny stuff...and thats about all they do....spray and pray.

The woods version, specially in some of the areas I used to hunt back home, would be real fun.

I know Brad (slostang on here) is all into airsoft. His neighbor kids got some guns, so he went and got some as well. However, he is not allowed to shoot them unless it is from across the street because he got the serious guns that hurt I guess.

When I played woods ball I loved it !! But once I got to play tourney ball .I never looked back and yes you go thru alot of paint trying to keep heads down so your front guys can move up and get the angle for a kill.
But the sponsor is paying for it so we shoot all the paint we can Tourney paintball is like a living chess game you shoot your way in from one move to another It appears they are praying and sparying But their just keeping lanes filled with paint so the other team player can't make a move It's called Suppression fire
When I was sponsored by PMI they gave us 50 cases of paint per tourney and 7o case a month for practice session's

I had more fun playing with pistols than with the AEG's tho.
