Just wanted to say hi

"Refugee" from 3.8 - not that the other site isn't worth while, just after browsing here for a bit - this seems more....likeable? Can I get away from that 'newbie' crap, and pass right along to loveable or whatever comes next

Anyway, howdy from Arizona!
Val(erie)

You like "weather" Ken?

I grew up just north of New York City, used to snow ski - and can't imagine I was ever that insane Our pool is 56 degrees, dove in over the weekend and was accused of being "certifiable" - which, after turning into an ice cube would be accurate.

I can't stand the heat down there.. I don't think I would EVER move back.

What part of Az? I lived in Mesa and went to school in Gilbert (when it was a small podunk town)

I've never lived in Az or considered it.

Just thought I'd throw that in there.

I don't have the custom rank in my profile - oh well, if "newb" isn't a bad word, then I won't let it bother me. Maybe someday the custom thing will be there where I can fix it.
We lived in Mesa for 8 years, bought a home in Apache Junction a year ago, had an inground pool put in last spring which makes our "hot season" MUCH more bearable w/a pool 14.75 feet from the patio door 8) August is pretty freakin warm but, with a fridge full of cold beer, a pool & everything air conditioned - who cares.
2 seasons - hot & warm, thats enough for me.

We had to run the AC two times this summer.. It was unbearable.. Must have gotten up to 91* both times up here

dry heat is a lot better than wet heat

comfort wise, AZ>Houston, TX (even though houston isn't nearly as "hot".

Hey Ryan - can we just skip the formality of 'how many posts' and just let me go to someother status other than "newb" - I really am loveable and shouldn't be saddled with such a horrid moniker

91? that is still considered "warm season"

BUT - we ain't got no 'skeeters!

Okay - dumb question (that probably isn't all that dumb). The rear window - other than half laying down in the back "seat", is there an easier way to clean the darn thing? I've threatened it with a hose, but didn't want to tank out the speakers

I would die if it was 70 below. Seriously, girls say I'm warm (seems like most girls get cold easy) but I'm pretty sure I'd just go ahead and die if it was that cold.

I remember a couple summers back and it was 100-110 for a while. Dry heat is teh win, I'm sticknig to that.

The only way to clean it is to do exactly that, lay over the seat. It's more fun to tint...

Welcome aboard Val

As to your question about the ranking system. I beleive that Brent put a 10 (I think) post count minimum to have that option available to you. Check back to that section every once in a while, and that option will appear, then, you can change your title

Again, Welcome to the Greener side of the fence 8)

The rear window suxs real bad !!!! Hire midgets to clean it or spray windex on your cat ( IF YOU HAVE ONE) and lock him in the car for about a hour. should do the trick

And you need to come here. I work outside all summer doing carpentry and concrete work...100 degrees with humidity. You'll look at heat a totally different way. I went to cali a couple of years ago and people were complaining about how hot it was. It felt good
