Possibly moving to kansas...

Im going for an interview in Topeka on friday, and was just wondering - whats it like there? I know there are a few of you from KS, but I figured Id ask, and see who was, and could tell me a little more about that area of the country, as I've never been there.

What's the car scene like there? More imports or domestics? Do they hang out like they do in some of the towns here?

More importantly, how many members of ME live in KS? Be nice to meet a few of the faces Ive talked to, and read posts from since I joined the site.

Thanks guys!

Don't be bitter that I didn't let you put it in my ***, ***.

Anyway, Kansas isn't too bad... although I'd never live in Topeka cause that city blows ***, but KC is great, theres a huge car scene there. Lawrence is an awesome town thats got a small car scene itself, and the nice part about Kansas is everything thats worth going to is within about an hour from everything else. For example... KC Is an hour from Topeka, Lawrence is about 30 minutes, etc. Everything there is to do in Kansas is right on that eastern side.

But yeah, I live here in Kansas City now... I enjoy it a lot.

Re: Possibly moving to kansas...

hell, i would buy a moller too, if i could!

Zim, sounds good that there is plenty of stuff close by to do... Whats so bad about Topeka? Glad to hear that there is a car scene, too - are there any forums for the local groups?

If it werent for the commute, I would live outside of Topeka - whats traffic like there?

You would be able to tell how bad traffic is your entire way to work just by stepping out onto your front yard and looking. You can see from one end of the state to the other.

Easy mistake to make.

Back on topic, there's no way I'd leave the South for Kansas. Hell, leaving the South for Texas like I did is bad enough.

He's an arrogant, cocky bastard with nothing to be cocky about besides his bloated ego... thats my problem with him.

Anyway, there's no such thing as traffic in Topeka... you'll run into it every once in a while in KC, but even here it's not too bad.
