GM:
1995 LT1 was rated at 280hp and 330ft/lbs.
1995 3800 (V6) was 205hp and 230ft/lbs.
Ford:
1995 302 was 225hp and 300ft/lbs.
1995 3.8 (V6) was 145hp and 215ft/lbs.

My definition of "more comparable" is when the items in question are closer to one thing than the other... horsepower-wise, the 302 is only twenty away from the GM V6, 225 and 205 (respectively). While the two V8's have a 55hp difference. That is why I said it is more fair to compare the V8 Mustang to the V6 Camaro.

I know the torque numbers between the V8's are not that different. And torque is what wins races. But the LT1 still has more there, as well.

Not just about hp though. Things like weight can be a big factor. A lá fox body 5.0

In 1993, despite being 500lbs lighter, the Cobra Fox was still slower than the Camaro... at least according to the 0-60 times website.

Buzzing noises in the interior like the one on my SN95 hand brake. If I pull the brake handle just a bit to the side it stops. I understand its common and there's a fix.

Insomnia & back pain. Have a bad back from various accidents and 3 back surgeries and a failed neck surgery. Makes it very hard for me to work on my vehicles. Even to detail them.

But at least I'm healthy enough to drive it. So I'm blessed in that, never do forget that.

What's grinding my gears right now is my entire Mustang. I'm ready to drive it off a cliff, watch it fall down a ravine, and into a lake.

Bicyclists who share the road, and go half the speed limit. And then refuse to at least pull over to the side so you can pass.

Things that grind my gears... how women piss and moan about wanting equality and yet it's still socially acceptable to complain about men leaving the toilet seat up. Why do we have to be the only ones who have to put in a little effort to take a piss? If you want to be equal, get used to doing a tiny bit of work every time you pee, and quit b!tching about it.

Or how everyone with a hybrid or electric car gets all snobby about it. As if they are suddenly better than us dinosaur-burners. As if the electricity used to charge their cars doesn't come from fossil fuels. Or like the manufacturing/disposal of lithium ion batteries is so great for the environment. Or buying a new car every 10 years because the electric motors don't have the durability of other cars is so darn responsible. Your Prius takes just as much fresh water and energy to produce and drive and maintain as the next car.

People who are willing to pick up a sword (gun, suicide vest, etc) in the name of a deity... they are missing the F!cking point.

And, last but not least (for now), people who say "I could care less"... the F!cking phrase is "I couldn't care less"... as in, I am not capable of caring any less. I don't care at all. None. Nothing. No caring whatsoever. When you say "I could care less", that means you care. However remotely small the amount of caring may be, you still care. So when you are trying to tell someone how you don't give a $#!+, and you say "I could care less", you are actually saying that you do give a $#!+... it's called grammar, and they teach it to you at a young age, on purpose, for free. There is a diffence between could and could not.

+ 10 to "in the name of a deity". I agree.

+ 100 to "I couldn't care less". ARG! This one makes me think of "there", "their", and "they're". These three words are NOT interchangeable!
What's that over THERE?
That must be THEIR car over THERE.
I wonder what THEY'RE doing over THERE?

Also, I'm finally subscribing to this thread.

Or people who say "ATM machine" or "PIN number" or "VIN number"...
The "M" in ATM, actually stands for "machine". So, by saying "ATM machine" you are saying "automatic teller machine machine", and that does not make sense. Same with personal identification number number, or vehicle identification number number... welcome to the department of redundancy department.

I'm guilty of saying "VIN number" for sure. Haha
