And people with GT's that think young kids only have them because their parents bought it.

I'm not sure if that was directed at me or not, but I bought my own car after paying my own way through college.

Assuming you're not being sarcastic, it's extra ironic because mustangz is a kid.

Hey bud, we've been over this. You know I mean no offense. There's nothing inherently offensive about me pointing out that you're a young guy.

I know, just pointing out 18 is technically an adult. Yes, I'm young compared to most car owners.

Yes I am jealous, I had a Honda CRX when I was your age, the HF model it was such a POS I envy those that are young and drive these...hell I'm driving a Focus right now so I envy all of you.

I think the youngest kid over at M6G with a '15 ordered is 20. I was 25 before I could even get a Mustang...and it sure wasn't new off the lot.

Some kids worked hard in school etc. And earned it.
I was 18 with a 03 cobra. Now I'm 25. So there is different ways to " work " and earn something vs it being handed to you

Some people think having a part time job while going to high school and having mom and dad pay for your living expenses is hard work.

It is funny because my main goal in life is to work my *** off so I can provide my kids with a nice car where I don't have to worry about it breaking on them. My parents would have done the same thing for me if they could have also I'm sure but it would have been earned.

My parents paid for half of my first car and I paid for the other half. It was a brand new 2008 Dodge Charger R/T. It treated me well for the better part of 90,000 miles. I will not be buying my kids a new car, though. Gently used is the way to go!

I got a hand-me-down 95 nissan maxima that had nothing but problems. My dad hated not being able to provide more and I could tell. I started saving and he was there to cosign for me when I got my next two mustangs. Honestly it was really awesome seeing him light up like that and be all nostalgic driving the mustang. I owe him a lot and it is nice to give little joys back

What about actually saving enough to put down half the price of the car? I'd say that takes discipline, instead of spending it on other things. Also, I was in sports as well as a part time job in addition to school, so I'd stay up until 2-3 ish doing homework often.

But you know what, I'm not doing this again, I've said this repeatedly.

This type of conversation never goes in the right direction. Keep it civil, or we all know what happens.
