Amazon sending the wrong socket size. I ordered a 27mm, and what do I get? An 18mm.

Oh well, they're already sending another, free of charge.

I ask a good friend if he would like to meet up for a beer and a bite to eat tomorrow after my class because my late class is cancelled. His response is,

"I would if I played destiny tonight but I'm watching the gop debate and it's Halloween festival in destiny we'll drank Saturday night at my party after everyone leaves plan on spending the night"

I'm debating about not going now. First of all it's at his parents house. They're really awesome people, but I really didn't want to do it in the first place, but in being a good friend, Im going.

If he had a legitimate reason for not going out Thursday, I'd be okay with that, but a freaking video game? Get a life. I don't know if I can make the effort to show up Saturday. You know handing out candy is kinda stressful.

I would say Friday night, but it's my little brothers second to last football game of his high school career, and I don't want to miss it.

\end rant

I'm waiting til it's colder than I'll have the service guy drive it. See what he thinks.

Sorry but I am pretty young and I have not touched a video game console in years. I do admit I do dust off my Super Nintendo to see if it still works but that is once a year... Took me a long time to use "lol" and other similar lazy abbreviations.

That's a good plan. I'd almost suggest leaving it over night, but the horror stories I've heard suggest otherwise.

Nice, Super Nintendo was awesome back in the day.

A guy I work with took his GT 500 into a local Mustang Performance shop and they beat the hell out of the transmission tunnel to get the transmission out to change the clutch . Click image for larger version

What year was this shelby? We did a clutch on an 09 GT500 and had zero issues getting the trans out. You'd think a mustang shop would know, properly, how to get a trans out of a mustang.

Apparently it is tight and they are slightly trickier than normal but I dunno?

It was a 2014 Shelby they claimed the supercharger and the long tube headers were the reason. They claim they were trying to save him money by not taking the headers off. But trust me the guy that owns that Shelby would not mind spending the extra money to have it done right. The reason we found out is the Mcleod RXT clutch burned up after 600 miles so he had someone else look at and that is when we found the damage to the trans tunnel. They also installed the wrong slave cylinder in the car as well and that is what fried the clutch.

Man if that was my car..... I'd be furious they would be repairing that back to straight. And I'm calling bs on saving him money, they didn't want to deal with taking the exhaust off.

Trust me that's exactly where he is at. This just happened and he is giving the owner of the shop(who is very well known in the Mustang world) a chance to make it right. That's the only reason I have not mentioned the name of the shop. I have employees too and I understand how it is.

Did they ever call him saying like hey we could take off the headers or try to get around them which would you prefer? Seems like it's a bit of a no brainier to call ask for an okay before taking a hammer to someone else's car

Seems like it. I feel like I would be more comfortable making that phone call to the owner of a gt500 because I can assume he will spare no expense to have it done right.

Yeah really though. All this just makes me that more nervous to take my car anywhere haha. I hate having other people work on my cars for reasons just like this.

I'd give them a chance to make it right, then lawsuit if they fail... I couldn't sleep at night knowing they did that to my car...

No they did not and that's exactly what we said to him put the ball in the car owners court and he would of paid extra to do it right. That idiot did it to simplify his work plain and simple . He spent $20,000 at this performance shop total that's what blows my mind. I feel bad because I recommended this place.

You and me both the funny thing is they called him to ask if it was ok to test drive it in the rain because of how "pristine" the car is and in the meantime an employee is in the back beating the transmission out with a hammer. 😡

What shop (name) did this? It should be known so others can avoid this repair establishment.
