Honestly. I have four kids, well 2 are step kids. But I raised them all. I do spank them. But my youngest is just a terror sometimes. Don't get me wrong, I love him with all my heart. But a healthy @$$ whoopin doesn't help most of the time. Actually sitting in the corner helps more with him. But all kids have there own personality so different forms of punishments work better for certain kids.

That is true, im bone stock jaja no kids. Yeah legal this and legal that I guess we'll find out how I really am when I mod up with kids. Yep them darn videa games, so cool yet so destructive. In all case cause my kids can get there own just like I did. Xbox 1 I bought from a friend at 15/16, xbox 360 I bought from walmart at 17 cause I had a job, so what's cool is that they can't tell me they need it. Ill just reply yeah it seems like you need a woopin too jaja jk im not a grouch whip here and for everything but where respect is missing please believe it wont for long.

That's true it doesn't always go well and every one is different when it comes to discipline, guess I gotta wait to see how my minions come up to be. But I stand firm in butt smacks over just saying cause I said so no child of mine is gonna be buck wild in public, what are they crazy? only i can to that jaja but ill be older and wiser so it seems fair, to me at least ;].

Re: What Grinds Your Gears?

It is because of all these tree huggers there are alot of unruly kids now adays and why they have no respect for thier elders.

I do have to say that nowadays it is all the parents fault... I'm 17 so I see it first hand, a lot of people that I go to school with their parents don't really care what they do which is why they go out all the time and never respect adults. (obviously I'm not one of them)... I'd just say something that really helps is family dinner at the table every day instead of fending for yourself.

Inside info nice. Yeah family dinner is a very good thing. I had those as a kid and from time to time now.

The fault is credited to the parents. I've been whooped since.before i can remember. The school system doesn't help either with just sending kids home so their parents can deal with them. Another contributing factor is a lot of parents are afraid to physically punish their children on account of the state stepping in because they say it's child abuse!

Whoop those childrens a$$es and see how quickly they straighten up! I am living proof that it works! Ha!

Yes! You have no idea how right you are! Family dinner, that's a time where a family can unwind and share their day with each other. I work nights so my kids and I have family breakfast. Their mom is not in the picture anymore so it's just the three of us. I've given up a lot of freedoms to raise my kids right and I'll be damned if they grow up acting like selfish asses and not appreciating the sacrifices I've made to be Mom & Dad. I'd give my kids the world but they've gotta earn it first.

+1! Same thing with my dad, I wasn't handed anything, worked for literally everything I own, and I thank him for that. Work hard for what you have you have you tend to respect it a lot more.

****, when I was in school... Ages ago... The Principal would tell me. I can paddle you or I can call your Dad, your choice. I'd choose the paddle every time! Lol, no wooden paddle could ever be worse then the whoopin my Dad would dish out! My Dad worked at the Army Depot, he didn't have time to take me home and punish me. He'd tell the Principal, let me borrow your office. It only took one time for me to realize calling my Dad was a huge mistake. Lol.

The whooping works up until the point that they are bigger than you... I was like 14 when I matched my dad in size, 3 years later I'm a lot bigger than him.
