Technically it's still a v6 mustang. According to the vin number it is.
I put the boss manifold and parts on my 5.0. Doesn't make it a boss.

Someone with more knowledge, by law do you have to report anything?

If you read online you will see where people who thought they we're doing the right thing by calling actually got cancelled on the spot. No insurance companies wanted to cover them because "the work was not done by a qualified mechanic".

Others report rates higher than a stock gt because insurance companies imposed a fee or "special policy"

I'd say let it be. Claim ignorance if you ever have an issue. If you only have liability then who cares anyway. They won't be paying to fix your car. You will

There is special coverage you can get to cover upgrades, exhaust, wheels/tires, motor swap whatever it may be. Cost extra.

I never thought about that actually being so caught up with the car but after reading all the post I agree with some of you guys on just not informing them. I understand if I wreck the car it's basically totaled anyway because it's an 2004 that really isn't worth much so YOLO lol

Ah, 347 stroker, ๐Ÿ˜. I need to find a classic ford just to put that engine in it. Hmm, I'm thinking maybe a Torino or a Cyclone.

You will get what you paid for

Your not the first person to replace an engine from A V8 into a V6 and there is really no need to tell the insurance company a thing.
If you get in an accident and need a fender repaired - "FINE"
If you total the car, they just will give you book value on a V6 of the same year and that is it. You are not going to get a GT V8 price but they will give you what you have been paying for.
As far as liability is concerned, They will still cover your liability is the accident is your fault.

Just about everybody I know with highly modified Mustangs along with other brands, Just keep their Mouths shut and just go by the Vin #.
Most only keep what the law requires and no more. Liability only and no comprehensive or collision or theft.

You can buy insurance from almost all company's and put a value on your car that will be paid if something happen, Bring the KY Jelly and bend over when you see that bill.

Not too many kaiser gasses. There's someone here making one into a gasser. We welded his turbo header together for him. Looking forward to see it finished.

The day my son came into my life was the best thing to happen to me. 27 years later, it's still the best.

Congrats on being a dad! You will now enjoy spending more quality time where it counts; being a great dad in someone's life.
