What made you smile today...?

I had one when I was little. He died before a he was a year old. Electric fence didn't affect him anymore, hit by a car. At 8 months he was 80lbs; great example of a puppy in a dog's body. Almost took my right eye, it's a long story, but it wasn't his fault. Love them.

I'd love to have a herd of them like in that picture. Only problem is I live around people in their 50s up to 90s. So, we don't want anyone having a heart attack. Plus some still judge the book by its cover, but not by what's in it. And that's a lot of mouths to feed, which means $$$$$.

We just took over ownership of two great dogs, both are Belgian Tervuren's and probably two of the best big dogs I've ever had. One is 6, a male and the other is 8 and a female...she was a national champion 5 years ago.
My friend has terminal cancer and just couldn't keep up with them any longer.
Love these dogs although I've only had them a month.

Hi olerodder
Great looking new friends you have there , I sure gotta respect you and your wife for taking these dogs in because your friend could not care for them.
Are they fitting in good or do they still look for the person that had them before.
Ronnie

Thanks.
The man and wife that had the two dogs lived beside us before they moved to Arizona so we knew the dogs...not well but were familiar with them which gave us a jump start. This breed needs a strong Alpha and because their old household no longer had one, I've taken the role I think they have fit in really well.....also because I am home all the time. One other benefit is that I usually walk them (or they walk me, I'm not sure sometimes as two 70lb dogs can pull quite hard) 2 or 3 times a day and they have both lost about 5lbs since I've had them....we still have a ways to go though. Another part of that is not giving them treats every time they give you the "sad eye".........We had to put our Shepard/Lab mix down late last year after having him for 14 years........I'm a large dog fan.
They are really great dogs!

Nothing better then a good dog friend or two.

I'm happy for you and also for the dogs.
I know I love my two dogs and my Corgi, Mario is my best friend. I take him just about everyplace. We went to the American Muscle show three times now and he just loves the drive up from Florida to Pennsylvania and back in the Mustang as well as the show and staying in Best Westerns.
We can hardly wait until August 2016 to go again.
I also have a Chihuahua - Dachshund mix named Oscar, He is just my lovable tiny dog that I really call Mario's pet because he sticks to Mario like glue.

Girlfriend bought these for me at Comic Con without me knowing. Even though she knows I'm picky about my car, she got these right.

What made me smile today....my mom is no longer suffering. She passed away in peace Friday night. Her mind was sharp, but her body was causing her to be in pain for much too long. I'll miss her, but smiling that she is no longer suffering.

What made me smile today was that the sun was out. It's always so cloudy and sad looking outside in the winter, so the sun being out was nice

Wife and I drove the littlepony to the coast to meet up with her nephew and his wife, and to see the new great nephew. Went to the brewery and and a big ol' plate of hot wings. Spicy drive home.
