Since I'm not working on hot rods any longer I need some other hobby to occupy my time....since I love rifles and guns....it's a perfect match.
You can never have enough Tactical Rifles and they will be coming out with a file for the 1911 frame....I love 1911's ever since I carried one with Uncle Sam back in the 60's.

They are nice for sure! I've been really happy with the Windham they are made by the former Bushmaster people and they are priced really good.

Keep thinking it won't ever happen that whole shortage crap was BS. I didn't buy any ammo at all during that whole deal. But now that things are back to normal I've been increasing my inventory.

I'm not concerned about being invaded more so to have enough to go recreational shooting and not having to worry about it.

A positive of living in the middle of nowhere; I can shoot whenever I want. I can blow stuff up.

Shooting a 454 Casull sounds like stuff is blowing up.

It's super easy to reload I use a reloading press from Hornady in the long run it has saved a ton of money... Really good investment it makes it easier to just go out and plink targets and think about hitting them instead thinking about how much each trigger pull costs...

And congrats!

Cars must be slow in MN. For the right amount of money I can provide a lowly v6 Mustang to drag him down the track of his choice. We will even drive the car there. No need for a trailer.

All of this talk about rifles makes me feel like making a little noise this morning before firing up the computers.

As fun as the AR platform is, I have focused most of my time and practice into long range. My two brothers and I have our own 3 gun course set up, but it is relaxing to sit, breathe, focus, and then sail chunk of coated lead spiraling 1000 yards to the target. I guess I'm getting lazy when it comes to shooting an assortment of targets at a full sprint.

I'm not the best. I don't claim myself to even be good at long range. I enjoy it though. I have been trying to land a few long range handgun shots. I haven't gotten consistent yet, but I will.

The best training you can do with a handgun is to shoot both eyes open - one handed.
Get great at a target hitting at 30 to 50 feet where your looking may save your life someday.
Believe me when I say that in a tragic situation, All of the aiming in the world and at far away targets may be fun with a handgun, but not that useful in a real life situation.
Both eyes open and point and shoot. It takes some practice but you will be amazed how good you can get.

If you run a few 3 gun comps you will realize just how important what you just said is.

...and if a threat is close enough to warrant a handgun, I can assure you that missing is not an option.

Dropped my car off to get its 4.10s and Auburn in today. Though, the owner said he's kinda backed up and it may be a few days before I get my car back. Oh, time to change my signature probably

We shoot all kinds of distances in fact I'm picking up a Nagant next week. I want to see how accurate I can get it at long range. It's supposed to be a real clean pre-war Tula Hex gun.

I have a Mosin. It is amazing how little technology has changed in 100 years. My Mosin Nagant has no problems reaching out as far as you can see. If you know how to aim, you can hit your target.

That it is. I have coffee cans full of old army surplus ammo. Be sure to clean the rifle after you fire that stuff though. The old ammo is corrosive.
