My parents still some, mostly only go over there to get my mail and stay outside for BBQ. I can't take the smell like I used to and don't want to. Plus my athletic induced ashma don't like it. My kids always want to go, but since I have the choice as an adult now; to not be around it.

On another note. I am getting closer to saving up for either Plan A) decent donor car (engine, trans and other goodies) or Plan B) keep saving for a better ride 😆

Thanks. Occasionally I still have a "what if" moment. Then I take a hit from my vaporizer or smell a whiff from someone else. Reminds me why I quit.

Smoking also leads to """BLADDER CANCER""" which I eventually ended up with.

Sorry to hear that. COPD is no joke. I smoked from 15-30. Luckily no major damage currently, but I do know there is a day coming when I'll have to pay for it. Already have enough health issues as is thanks to the Army/VA.

What made you smile today...?

Test drove a 15 GT today. Had some type of FlowMaster exhaust, sounded terrible and droned to the max. Almost drove a 14 Vert but it had more paint issues than I want to deal with.

I am staying away from any stang after 93. I may want to purhase it. Then that will give me 3 stangs 1 expedition and a sienna awd. I don't have the space wont even tease myself. I know my weakness.

That would be nice but I can tell you this,
When your retired like I am you never get a day off.
Being retired is having a job 7 days a week.
Your on your retirement job as soon as your feet hit the floor in the morning.
This is a tough vocation ,but somebody has to do it.

Shucks Ron, you're breaking my heart.
How's it going with you these days, other then the "hard retirement"?

Everything is going really good. I had the dreaded test and the Bladder cancer is still gone.
I don't go back until November to get it checked again.
Mario my dog had a hot spot and pulled some hair out, Took him to the vet and got some medication and it seems to be clearing up now.
I have been shooting a lot at the new range and bought a Colt M4 AR-22lr. A lot of just plain "FUN" and relaxation for me.
It is way cheaper to shoot then my 9MM Glocks or 9MM carbine.
I'm a member so I have "NO" range fees at all.
If your off on the first Saturday of June, You need to drive over to the Daytona Flea Market Cruise-in. It is just a lot of Street rod, Muscle cars and Mustangs enjoying the day """FREE""" not really a show but it is actually better. If you come, Call me to meet up.
Ronnie

I have a small range in my back yard. Like you, I find myself shooting more and more 22lr. I also have a nasty little pellet rifle that slings 177s down range at 1000-1400fps depending on the pellet used.

I enjoy shooting my 22s more than anything else. Now that I say that, it's a toss up between shooting clays with the shotgun and killing paper with the 22.

The print on that shirt would make for nice garage art. It would look good in a Mach 1 grill delete too. Seeing the same pony and cobra emblems becomes monotonous. A little diversity could be a good thing.

Makes me smile when I hear how rough us retired folks have it.
I've been retired since 2011 and for the first 2 or 3 years I was busier than when I worked...they I started slowing down a little, lost 40 pounds with diet and exercise and feel better than I have in along time. Have stopped working on Hot Rods, sold the 14 TrakPak although still have the 03 and my Falcon although I have been seriously thinking of letting someone else have fun with them because I just don't drive them very often and they are truly turning into "Garage Queens" and now only occasionally build a motor...love to go shooting and became a member of one of the only indoor shooting ranges within 50 miles...practicing with the Kimber/Glock and our AR's is really relaxing. Going to take a tactical 2 day coarse on the coast as soon as the weather gets better...being retired sure beets the alternative...IMHO
