Jesus. I've been in the meat wagon once and it was about 250$ from the hospital . I was upset because the doctors still had no idea what my problem was , but looking back I guess it wasn't too bad.

America is "supposed " to be the greatest country, but you don't even have decent health care, just greedy corporations & crooked politicians.
it's a sad thing.
From my birth until today, 20.5 years later, i have given a grand total of $10 to the hospitals.
& that was for renting crutches, when i was like 7 & got hit by a car when i was riding my bike & spent the summer in the hospital.
$10. in 20 years.

my dad was in & out of the hospital the last 2 years with prostate cancer, & he fractured his knee, & it only cost him his regular $ for prescriptions.
Ambulance rides here are $350/trip, i think, & $250 for seniors, which is really ridiculous, actually.

I had great health care before this stupid Obama care all he is worried about is giving FREE health care to his non-working voters.

Gal, no matter what Country or government, I can assure you the politicians are corrupt.

As for health care; we still have the best health care and facilities on the planet. We train the greatest doctors, and have the most advanced technology known to man. That is something to smile about

Nothing, and I mean nothing in life is free. There is a cost and a consequence for everything. Just as in the law of physics, in life every action has a reaction. The reality of life is that health care, food, housing, clothing, etc all cost someone, even if that person is not you directly.

A prime example would be your recent stage dive off of the ladder. Your visit to be bandaged up and put back together was far from free. Taxes paid by many people absorbed the cost of your visit to the doctor. In theory this little work of socialism looks great. In reality this type of system does more harm than good.

I am not getting off topic. I am an entrepreneur. That makes me smile, and also helps me make my point. As a business owner I have the ability to charge my customers a price that I think my product is worth. Those charges are then invested into new equipment and my music studio advances. I am able to better serve my customers because I have the equipment and knowledge necessary to produce an end product people want.

If I were a hospital that had to rely on government funds only (taxes that are allotted in a limited amount) I would have to restrict the level of equipment used. I would have to cut staff in order to keep those that are considered specialists. When costs are limited via socialism everyone suffers. Capitalism appears greedy when you are not making money. Capitalism is not greedy though. Capitalism is an open free market that is dictated by the customer and their willingness to pay a particular price. No one is entitled to anything. Everything must be earned.

By the way, I am not a well off business person. I was doing extremely well financially at one point in my life. Today I am average at best. I struggle. Read my posts, I have a blown engine in my truck, and a Mustang with more issues than I want to deal with.

If someone here today took care of my Mustang, and gave me an engine, that engine and work would not be free. Someone has to pay for it.

I have taught my economics lesson for the day. I'm smiling.

i agree with you a million per cent, professor,
i bandaged myself up, with bandages i got for free.
ok, my dad bought me ice cream;
Saskatchewan is the home of medicare, i just thinks it's shameful to get a bill for pain & suffering.
i've been interning at the hospital with my mom all year, & I have seen so much arguing & fighting from people while their "loved" ones are layered ng their suffering & dying, i would LOVE to send them a bill, BELIEVE ME.

but writing up an invoice for parents after their child just died in my arms?? umm no thanks.

I am smiling knowing tomorrow Husband and I and Chrome (the vert) are driving to Texas tomorrow to visit relatives for a week. They are far enough from the flooding it shouldn't be a problem. Probably rain most of the way down but looks like it will clear out on Sunday and hopefully stay that way for the week. ROAD TRIP - YAHOO~

Fixed the famhauler power slide passenger door today. Door was basically stuck shut. Took me only 6 to 7 hours. Dragging my butt, didn't want the humidity to kill me. So many breaks and parenting frustrations to keep me busy,lol...the door works and I a smiling.

It is amazing how we all get bit by the modding bug and how it spreads to every aspect of our lives. We are happy with what we have but want to get every ounce of juice out of it. 😆

After pushing and prying to get my transmission bushing in, I realized I installed it backwards, All I could do is smile and go find my small pry bar to remove it and reinstall.

If I might ask, what's your tax bracket?

We too could have the services you have, but we don't have the tax bracket to support it. While I worked in Germany several years ago, I heard of the citizens there talk of their tax bracket. They paid upwards in the low 40% of taxes. However, that gave them health care (even after they retire), college tuition (for those that met the grades), and social security/retirement.

If you add all the costs we pay in America, I'm sure its well over 40% of our yearly income.

It varies from province to province but combined taxes is usual around 12ish to 20% at the most and most of these vary based on income. Quebec residents earning in excess of 55000$ are taxed the highest.

I think taxes are about the same on either side give or take depending on state/province , so that's hardly an argument

Income tax, social security, property taxes, auto taxes, sales tax, death benefit taxes, etc. If you draw money out of your IRA you are taxed. Now we have a penalty for not having health care that is considered a tax. Alcohol is taxes. Gasoline has a tax added in.

I can go on, but there is no need. At the end of the day we as Americans pay an astronomical percentage of our income into taxes. The government is cutting the military, wasting funds on BS that isn't needed, giving grants to groups dedicated to studying cow farts, funding illegal immigration and giving them benefits they are not entitled to, and....

Now I'm on an off topic political rant.

I sound like a disgruntled American, but I am far from that. I am a patriot through and through. I do not agree with everything that goes on, but if I had to I would gladly fight for MY Country.

Nice! P2 Vision?

I moved from DJI to a Yuneec Q500 recently because I like the android tablet integrated in the controller. Haven't had much time to fly lately though.

We as voters can change this...problem is, not enough people get out and vote out those in office that create/cause this.
