Re: The Offical Election 2008 Debate Thread

^ I wasn't calling you out for your choice of candidate, brent just to make that clear...I just used you because I know who you support...I was being faciscious with the part about voting for a fictional character just to make a point about our political system...My point about the two party system which I know you understand is that in the end, you really only have two candidates...The Dem or Rep....and most people will simply vote for the person that represents their party whether they like them or not, just because they dislike the other person for being a Dem...There are lots of Republicans as an example that say they hate McCain and would never vote for him...But if Hillary gets the Democratic nod, then they will sure as hell vote for McCain so that Hillary doesn't win...Because of the way our basic two-party system works, that's what it boils down to...you have to vote for someone you don't really care for just so someone you really hate doesn't win...and I, personally, refuse to be put in a situation where I vote for someone that I dislike less than the other candidate...That is just ludicrous, and that is not at all what our country was founded on...

You don't have to vote for someone you don't like.

Once these primaries are over we will get a good idea on who the 3rd party candidates will be. I'll more than likely vote for one of them.

He could but he already stated he won't be running. He is going to try to win his seat in the House back.

I think they're all crooks and wouldn't vote for any of them. Too bad Hunter S. Thompson isn't still around to run for office.
