Sounds more and more like a great movie and his home decor dosent sound to bad either.

Sounds like my kinda neighbor.

Re: I Am Legend

I really enjoyed it. Definitely not a 28 days later remake, though I guess it did have a few of the same themes. Worth watching.

The only thing I don't get... Why was there only one scene with the GT500?

Re: I Am Legend

I personally thought it was awesome. And the ending was perfect as well.

Spolier
what happened to the part in the trailer where the dark seekers are right up against Nevilles face and he just keeps whispering " I can save you, let me help you" and all the do is like droole and show teeth?

Re: I Am Legend

for maximus (Spoiler below):

it was a mix of scenes and actual audio from the movie, a mix of the scenes with the darkseekers and the audio from him yelling at them from behind the plexiglass at the end. its a normal thing nowadays with flashy previews to mix audio and scenes to give the preview the feel of more drama than is actually in the movie

its like they have the preview template down to an artform.

i never noticed it until seeing I Am Legend and now last night with National Treasure 2. all previews share the same feel. they queue dramatic music with opening flashes of colorful landscapes with panning camera views, giving the movie in question a large and epic feel. starts off slow, with light scenes showing the basis; then they reveal the twist of the movie. then they show 1 second flashes of action with a really fast paced background tone for the rest of the preview to make it seem like the movie is really fast and action packed, and they top the preview off with some sort of cliffhanger preview ending, either ending in a close up or one-liner whispered from a main character, especially from a villian to a hero character.

they must have a drag-and-drop task program to make a movie preview. could almost make it in Windows Movie Maker if you wanted to.

Re: I Am Legend

Thomas

spoiler

I knew that the audio was mixed, but what happened to the scene that they mixed the audio with? They never had a scene with just the seekers up against his face like in the previews. And I agree, all previews are getting to be the same.

I loved every movie preview that they played with i am legend, every movie looks amazing. especially The Dark Knight.

Re: I Am Legend

I really think the book did a far better job of the story, but the movie was really close. I think if the movie ended like the book, we would have all walked out stunned.

it was to get the audience to see what Neville saw (or thought he saw).

That too.

Anyone else feel tense the entire time he was in there? Like something bad was gonna happen? I think I actually felt tense the entire movie.

Well, really, everybody knew that something bad was going to happen. It is the way of movies. You can't just have Will and the dog live there by themselves, alone in NYC, happily ever after. It was just a matter of when the plot twisted to cause calamity.

It wasn't fair... I got totally tricked into seeing that one.

I had no idea what it was about. Then with the beginning thing I saw the animals and asked "So... this movie is about will smith being the only human and a bunch of animals, living on the island?" They told me "Yeah, something like that"... Then BAM, infected!
