Dropped a point in my GPA

Did not get along well with the teacher, was poorly taught and poorly tested... so I ended up with a B in the class

dropped me from a 4.0 overall GPA to 3.9

I hate people

Just half decent with the math classes, I have a lot of those...

I had the only A in my statistics class this time around, macroeconomics (not quite math but plenty included..) was not so good... the other classes all have to do with memorization, studying, and busywork, all simple stuff... only had 2 300 level courses this time around though, I have 4 of my 5 classes next semester (technically a senior this spring) at 300 level and one at 400

so we'll see if I can keep up

Re: Dropped a point in my GPA

awww, you poor thing. haha

congrats on the 3.9 though, that's still pretty good. been there, done that, but i can't say my grade point was that high. haha! math was never my favorite subject although i ended up majoring in finance and graduated from (in '04) with close to a 3.0. i'm glad that's over though, it seems to take FOREVER to get through college, afterwards, time flies!

Re: Dropped a point in my GPA

I was happy with my 3.1. I'm just not dedicated enough to consistantly put forth the effort required to get a 3.9. I salue you.

I had a 3.946. Damn Biology labs. 2:00 PM is no time for a 3 hour biology lab.

Re: Dropped a point in my GPA

GPA doesn't even matter... it matters a little bit to get interviews for the first job. after that its just an ambiguous number that goes along with your work experience.

Re: Dropped a point in my GPA

I think I got asked my gpa in one interview, and I knew I wasn't going to get the job anyway, just wanted the interview experience.

They were much more concerned with what I did in college and what my work history is. By showing I held a full time job during college it showed I'm not afraid to work for what I want. I think that went alot further than anything.

I honestly don't work all that hard for it, part of the reason I got that B.. The only tests I studied for were my stats and econ finals, even then not all that much - I do my HW, but I usually half-*** it.. and reports come naturally to me, I do tend to procrastinate, too
